Noodle Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 So which one should I buy? or should I buy one? I primarly Landboard but I kiteboard a bit too, so I though I would get an Inflatable foil. But how do the 2 kites square up against each other? What are the pros and cons of both? 6mtr viper 2nd hand 5.5mtr advance reha 2nd hand Quote
bushflyer Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 the viper is an auto stable 2 line foil, it was intended for wakestyle but never sold very well, but the kite flies well and the actual foil is VERY well made. same goes for the rhea, make sure its not on the bendy bar, but actually fitted with a depower bridle, this mod wasnt cheap when the kite was new. the kites are a bit heavy compared to newer kites but fly well; the pioneer of snowkiting, pascal joubert, got the first 1 minute hangtimes on one. email me and ill send you a vid of the rhea, its a cool little flick. if anybody offers you an advance diablo however, turn around and run away...the words 'death machine' 'landboard assasinator' and bushy's nemisis' come to mind...excuse me i have to lie down;) that was one evil kite. wotsit4 Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 Shame about your bad experience with the Diablo bushflyer, mine were excellent. The 8.5 was very good on land and both were good on water. Stability was excellent as long as you flew in onshore winds of sufficient strength. Gareth Quote
