there was some kind of plastic launch assistant type gizmo shown on here a while ago that may prove to be the best way to launch at sea:D

But what happens when he gets out into the ocean? The wind greatly picks up out there! lol he will fly away! lol

Article says it was to be launched in Taunton On Tues 28th June. So where are the other photos???

All I can find on all sites is the stock photos of the boat end on in the shed!

Do Tauntonians not own digi cams???

so what ocean is he crossing?? dont know how he'll cope with the waves??

Dom will be using OutLeader kites by KiteShip (http://www.kiteship.com). OutLeader kites are specifically designed to be launched and recovered from the boat, in deep water, unaided. The kite does not get wet, and the lines do not run under the boat when your mind is elsewhere.

Dom is an ex-Royal Marine, has rowed across several oceans; is both well versed and well trained for the conditions he'll encounter.

Cheers,

Dave Culp
