i already do landboarding and was just wondering what would be a good size board for beginning (kitesurfing) cheers...

depending on your size obviously but anything 140x38 plus will do bigger as you get heavier

I started on a Naish Haze 145x 39 and found it fine. It will also last me when i get better. I also bought a KayBay 169 x 38 which is easier but only really suitable for lower wind. In higher wind, because of my lack of experience, it will skim over the water. But, getting the hang of it now and just realised what 'going up wind' means. Once you learn this i think you can ride a larger board in most winds. I would go for around a 145 though.

There is a 160 viper on sale on ebay, good size for begginers but also good for those light wind days after you have got the hang of it!

I am only a beginner myself, but i had a Slingshot Dimis Twin 165 and my friend had a North Robo 140, we both prefered to learn on his. If I was starting again i'd want a smaller board from the off as i've just had to go through the hassle of selling my board and buying a smaller one when I don't think the extra length helped me to learn at all.

 

Or if you want a longer board you could try and build you own depending how adept at DIY you are, cheap option could cost ya as little as £30 lots of websites about on it. A project im planning for the summer.
