karlum Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I would like to say simon i purchased one of these kites and it is excellent i have been kitesurfing 3yrs and the kite i got is the 16mtr thought hey lets see what they are like. got the bar and lines with it too pictures on there site are to show detail but they are doing a new page by the look of it with video action shots i suppose its a new british kite maker lets see what they can do, they have my backing its about time we got some alternatives to the prices we have had to pay for all these years. kitedude Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 hhhhmmmmmmmm 3posts and 1 post, yeah they seem like credible posters. A new british kite maker, they actullly appear to be the same kites as chinakite, xtc ,jtc, brand x etc, etc. these are OEM kites based on saul griffiths open source kite design. WE regualry recieve mails from the manufcaturer offering us these kites with our name on them so we can sell as our own brand. however we read the reports and reviews and decline ever time. Alos did anybody notice the name of th eposters and the compamy www.karmack.co.uk = KARlum + MArK = KARMAcK Quote
alastairy2k Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 If they're good they won't mind giving out a demo - try before you buy. Quote

simon marks Posted April 22, 2005 Author Report Posted April 22, 2005 Hi Ron its me Simon, My own kite company, LOL I wish but iv got to much on with my final year project and trying to go kite surfing without the hassle of running a company , nice play on words , ill see if I can get as cut on the profits!!! Karlum what does the kite fly like, is it equivalent to a 03 – 04 kite? 5th line? Ill get a test flight before I buy to make sure I suppose, as I heard about that XTC dude ripping ppl off. iv not posted much cos iv only been kitesurfing a while and dont have much to say of any use:o . I’m just a student looking for cheap kites the loan only stretches so far. If I had the cash it would be ss, naish or north all the way baby!! But I don’t and if I did buy some I would be sitting in cardboard box in my pants eating beans….. oh I already am!! Quote

karlum Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 HA being i am called karlum and the blokes name is brian, some people are just afraid i suppose, i was not dissapointed is all i can say. i still have the likes of the blade 2 and naish but it still gives me a buzz to know that i can blast on a kite i never paid much for and dont have to worry as much as when i take out my more expensive gear. lets face it if there is much difference in them i cant tell it could you. There Is Nothing Worse Than Calling A New Company On The Scene You Seem To Have Made Enemys From What I Hear Today Trinity Kiteboards Not Alot Of People Will Agree With You After Trying Our Kit Today See Ya Children" classic punctuation - english as a second language/immature youth??? well done shape/kite dude - we want honest information from honest manufacturers not misleading people - enuff of that crap comes thru the post box and telephone line........... who ever wrote that has damaged the brand - i somehow cant believe a 35 year old owning a company would do that...........classic wrist cutting marketing is crucial - even if youre kit is quality which i hope it is at those prices but i think you need to rethink youre strategies mart - karmack sponsored rider Quote
robecq1599968616 Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 Their site appears to be down, they can't have gone out of business yet have they? btw are Best Kites (the brand) also cheap chinakites? Quote
simon marks Posted April 24, 2005 Author Report Posted April 24, 2005 hi robeck the site seems to be working for me mabey they just fixed it. brian told me that he would send one down to my local shop (i kite at hayling) so ill just have a chat with one of the owners when i have done with my project, field work in france then my final exams and posibly a sailing event out in france. and only then can i get a kite down to test, so back to my original question anyone flown one if yes please post an unbiasd review good and bad points! lets stop ripn this new company give them a bit of breathing space, if their products are good and customer service is up to scratch and all the rest of the guff they will do well and get cheap kites to those who need them and ppl with more cash can buy what they want, hence you got loads of dough u buy a bmw you dont you buy a ford..... on the other hand they might be shoddy fly like a brick the company may treat the coustomers like cr*p, late deliverys etc etc then i hope they sink, go bust!! so unbiasd reviews any one? i dont mind waiting Quote
