Hi just been looking around on the web at kite shops and have found a place www.kiteshop.co.uk they are selling a 7m beamer for £179. That seems so cheap to me. Im looking for a low wind buggy engine and was wondering what views people had on these kites. Iv heard they are not up to scratch as the flexi's but look at the price difference.

Any opinions helpful.

Cheers

I have has a 5m Beamer and it was not a patch on the PKD Busters. I am told the 7m is worse and just collapses on the edge of the window and at the zenith.

I would personally go for a 7m Buster. I bought mine from this site in France:-

They provide free delivery and it works out to be £206 (296Euro). Only thing is they don't come with instruction manual but this can be sent ib PDF format.

Yeah i have a three metre buster and its either not set up right or it just flys like a piece of crap. I think i need to find someone local that has a buster and get them to have a look at it.

Hi , i bought a 7.0 beamer as a cheap low wind buggy engine , about 2 months ago .

It works very well , after a little bit of adjustment ! and i would say it is a very good kite for the money and flies really well , very little luffing and very easy to fly.

I've also got a 5.5 buster and that also flys very well , but i did try a 7.0 buster and found that quite slow compared to the beamer , so i went for the beamer in the 7.0 metre size .

Hope this helps !!! Dominick:)

There's a fix for badly behaved Beamer 7.0s on the Invento-HQ website- worth reading the whole thread about this kite's characteristics. I don't have the address but try searching "Beamer 7.0 bridle" on their site
