Bob Monkhouse Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 Thats exactly why I knocked off early. Didn't fancy any body dragging today. Quote
Tommy C Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Oh dear! Suffering today. The cold has finally got the better of me and I'm staying in even though it's windy! If it got colder and windier yesterday, I'm glad I packed up and left you to it Colin!!! Quote
Coopes Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Surgical gloves under your wettie glove thats the answer :D mmmmmmmmm.....Tried that at the weekend, didn’t make any difference Quote
npeac Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 using a 4 mm suit with a 1mm rashy with a hood on. i dont wear the hood i just leave it down but if you hit snags in the water just lose the helmet and pull it up, it makes a massive difference if you have to swim. just see how many strokes you make in cold water without 1. also use a reeel leash when its cold so you spend no time body dragging around. not had to resort to gloves or boots yet but if it doesnt warm up soon might use the marigolds. Rep whore Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 He he I was out last Thursday and Friday!!! Quote
hotnginger Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 Hmm, don't think I fancy packing and swimming on a cold winters day! Lucky my new G1 is relaunchable- you'd be either very mad or very confident and skilled to take out a frenzy in cold conditions for fear of crashing it. Jono Quote
northern jim Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 O neil phsyco(1 or 2:confused:) here, works wonders:D, pity I can never get to the beach! Quote
Bob Monkhouse Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 O neil phsyco(1 or 2:confused:) here, works wonders:D, pity I can never get to the beach! Got a psycho2 and it's awesome. Only problem I get is with hands/feet but I'm actually learning to enjoy the raynauds (fingers in vice) once you get out of the water. It's a bit like having a tattoo but it's not permanent. Quote
srod Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 pyro drysuit is a winner, so toastie inside that i don't need gloves/hood even in the sleet and snow. but the best thing about it is not having to put on a wet wetsuit! Quote
kitelunatic Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 drysuit and u are sorted my drysuit cost 50 quid Quote
hotnginger Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 silly question- I think I know the answer: Are most drysuits expensive? Jono Quote
Bob Monkhouse Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 but the best thing about it is not having to put on a wet wetsuit! Try to avoid that, but it means rinsing and hanging out a smelly wetsuit in the hoose after every session. Luckily my wife is an angel. Quote
hotnginger Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 Would you dare to say anything other than that? Luckily my wife is an angel. Quote
