Kit,was gonna see if you fancied roundhay today....that was before ther weather decided to turned apocaliptic.hopefully get out some time this week but have a stupid amount of work to get done Quote
kit Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Yeah, i had my kite all packed up in my school bag, looked like a smashing day, and then the first angel blew it's trumpet and the sky collapsed. Maybe an evening fly will be in order, if the weather improves. Quote
DreadedTom Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 "The first angel blew it's trumpet and the sky collapsed." Very poetic.....i thought is was just p*ssing it down. If it stays decent for this eve i might be heading up....REALLY cant be arsed with work.Been trailing the net looking for cheapo mountain boards....there goes my loan! Tom Quote
_me_ Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Been trailing the net looking for cheapo mountain boards....there goes my loan! I just spent £200 on kayaking gear And far too long in same shop looking at kitesurfing stuff. One day.... Quote

Arretu Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Anyone who can meet me on bedquilts sometime next weekend...need help with the frenzy... Quote
kit Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Let's see what the weather's like SPLAT. Today's flying was rather mad. Started off on the new 6.5 Chimera, it is amazing! The gusts were ridiculous- I tried my 3.0 buster and it was biting very hard. The Chimera took all the gusts brilliantly, gave me some long, floaty airs (putting me down gently), but was ultimately still very scary! But it didn't collapse once, and gave fairly consistent pull. Three cheers to lazarus for getting launched 6 feet in the air out of his buggy. Your fault for flying a blade in such gusty winds. We really scared a couple of onlookers, who at first thought our antics were fun, but then they realised we were only partially in control and were heading straight for them. They ran... Quote
