Just for amusement - We have had upto 39 mph using a beamer 1.8 (a friend's girlfriends kite, she wasn't there luckily). It's fine, not stretched and flys OK still.

 

I've borrowed the 3.6 and 5 metre types, all are great value for money.

 

The 5M is best for winds upto around 15mph. The 1.8 was in around 30mph when we got the speed above.

you gonna need more than one size to cover all the wind ranges. Suppose if i had to pick one to start with id go for 3m sort of size
...agree with u there buddy .went up me local field yesterday an the 2.5 neally pulled me out of the buggy 3 times . but the 3.5 an 4.5 get used most ......pete
