chrishockley Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 hi does anyone know how to jump with a fire bee 4m chris Quote
Sparhawk Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 EXCELLANT advice on how to jump with any kite in http://www.kitezone.co.uk My advice with a 'Bee would be to keep the brake lines TIGHT as you land - The Firebees Luff EVERY time! Dont hurt yourself Quote
commander Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 yeah as sparhawk says keep the brake lines tensions cause they do luff Quote
chrishockley Posted January 14, 2004 Author Report Posted January 14, 2004 What do you mean they luff Quote
Hopewell Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 The firebee is a complete bitch when it comes to jumping, I used to have a 5.5 and it dropped me from about 15ft up!! I soon passed out after running after the bloody thing. They luff as in they simply drop out of the sky. Power-rings help with that a bit. Quote
Adrena1in Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 The nose of a Firebee will drop and fold underneath the body of the kite...quite spectacularly too. Quote
cloughy Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 The firebee will only do this when your a novice, once you get used to flying the kite as your in your jump then you will soon get the hang of it and it will almost never luff, unless gusty!! tip always use brake when just landing, keeps the kite inflated. commander Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 i would have too agree the point is proven when i fly my 3m i jump and most of the time it dosent luff but when my m8 flys it it is constantly luffing when he does jumps Quote
jamie963 Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 the trick is to start to turn the kite slightly just b4 landing, this keeps the kite well inflated and will almost never luff, it worked almost every time with my 6.5 bee Quote
Groz Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 yeah, i've got a blade but turn it at the last mo and ya safe Quote
