aaron cairns Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 he may have a 10.5 blade for all you know... if he buggys hes probably got a big enough kite to pull a board Quote
The Geoff Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Get moving in a downwindish direction first, then carve back crosswind. That first downwind 'kick' takes out the rolling resistance, especially in heavy sand. And make sure your tyres are nice and hard if you're on grass. (40psi ish) Quote

(40psi ish) That goes for sand as well - the harder your tyres are the easier it is to get moving and maintain your speed and momentum..................it can make it a bit bumpy though! Although softer tyres will give you more grip they do slow you down alot and mean you will need to be even more overpowered that you would otherwise. It helps if are already used to the board - for example try riding on a gentle slope without the kite just so you get a feel for the board and balancing on it. I assume your kite skills are already up to scratch as you buggy, so you should be able to get up and going pretty quickly! Quote

We have more rolling resitance than they have. Quote
freez Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 i find that if the wind isnt strong enough to get scudding, it aint worth getting on my board Quote
