Bullit 1.5

Elliot Ecco 1.7

LD 1.5

Buster 1.4

Any coments or advice on any of the above kites please.

It will mainly be used a a fun high wind kite, trainer fot the wife, along with the buggy in the right conditions.

well with kites that size you're looking to fly in a real hooly. as said already the 2.1 ld is a real corker, very good kite. otherwise if say the 1.5 bullet. i flew one recently and was stunned to the point where i wanted to swap for my 2.5 bullet. great little kite, ironically probably the best in the range

LD 2.1

If the wind is too strong for this you'll have difficulty standing up.

It is an awsum kite though, perfect for a storm kite. The 1.5 is a little too twitchy in high winds. your better being a little overpowered with the 2.1. Plus LD's are built like brick privies. I haven't broken mine yet and I aint to gentle with it.

I have a 2m PKD Buster and I took it out in some strong wind last month, was over powered quite a bit so brought it in but before I did it hit the deck a couple times and it survived to tell the tale.....nice lil kite if a little bit nippy on the turning in high winds...that could be my inexperience of flying in high winds though.

OGDW.

It really depends what you call high wind I was out with a few mates last year with a 2.1 Little Devil and could'nt straighten my arms or apply brake to land, that was on the beach at Pembrey when it was blowing a hooly or even a kin hooly. ;) ;) ;)

It's the bullet for me pulls really well in high winds and very fast it can be slightly twitchy in gusty winds but is controllable, I suggest that you try one before you make your decision.

Why did you like ithe 1.5 better than the 2.5?

The 1.5 is by far the most 'aggresive' of the Bullets it pulls very hard, makes loads of power for its size. Imagine a fast motorbike with the throttle replaced by an on/off switch.

If you fly the 1.5 and put it down then straight away launch anyone of the bigger Bullets they will feel soft, floaty and slow to turn.

I own a bullet 1.5 and have had the pleasure of flying axelants 2.1 ld and i have to say give me the ld anyday it is far less twitchy than the bullet. It also gave me my first experiance of being picked up and landing sevral feet down the beach. It scared the cr*p out of me but at the same time felt great.

6 weeks after starting to fly i wish i had a bigger kite

that is called the learning curve, if you hadn't found that with a 1.5 then you probably wouldn't have been learning all that much.

the solution is very easy, get a bigger kite, it the thin end of a very big wedge but has to be done, what kite to get......is another story all together

 Yep, kiteing is adictive, started this year with a Super 10 and thought it was the dogs when i first flew it, however three weeks later I bought my first quad kite a 4.5 LD and I was hooked, Ive now got severn kites and two buggy’s (the flexi sport is going to be used as a tandem)

Ive now sold the Super 10 as it felt "soft" and I missed the control of a Quad.

If the goverment ever find out they could put kiteing on the elegal substance list, as its:

1, adictive

2, gives you a great buz

3, you crave to go flying

4, youl do anything to buy your next kite

LOL
