Longbow Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 If your kite didn't hit a plane, i think you'd be fine. But the mud tho, urgh! Quote
Jason Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Nobody kites there because it's too close to the airport and within the exclusion zone. Truth is you will get away with it but you are better off not. Quote
JKS Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Posted May 22, 2007 he he he ..... funny how you can bee soooooo keen looking for one thing that you can forget all about the lil ol' airport ! Had a look at Brighton .... tiny eh. I was there about 3/4 of the way to low tide and it Looks like a fairly large sand bar just off the launch area .... whats the go there ? Quote
Longbow Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 *launches kite* doo de doo * kite hits plane*...*plane tumbles down in a fireball* oops! Quote

.Joel Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 *launches kite* doo de doo * kite hits plane*...*plane tumbles down in a fireball* oops! It looks as funny as it sounds.... XUx9KzF1iws Regards, Joel Quote
CRAKAS_Jenkins Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Jason is rite....That area is restricted airspace..no fly zone. Nudgee beach is directly under the flight path for approach on the cross runway. You won't get caught on a plane but the police may pay you a visit. I'd be more worried about what the planes turbulance would do to my kite than getting hooked up on it. Barrie Quote
JKS Posted May 23, 2007 Author Report Posted May 23, 2007 "mental note'............. NEVER kite at nudgee Quote
CRAKAS_Jenkins Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 If you ever forget and decided to kite there I think the police in black uniforms, balaclavas, guns and tear gas might help jog your memory. The Aiport operations officers that patrol the airport land also carry shot guns....they will certainly make a mess of a nice kite real quick. Cheers, Barrie Quote
Longbow Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Kitesurfing ninjas? Thats almost better than that bloody tophat vid. Quote
