Its all been promised but the seller is away for quite some time so basically does anyone know where we can get some instuctions from (i.e. photocopies) and also whats the possibility of getting a bridle sorted, or is it something to take up with flexifoil

ooops no sorry the original bridle isn't with it so it can't be switched back...

oh ok, that would make more sense.

Is the vps bridle on and setup then, or is it a little stuffed up (hence why you are after the manual)?

Failing that, I've seen on other threads here where other people have been kind enough to send a copy of their manuals to kiters in need..... Do a quick search, or maybe someone has one out there????

can u pm me to remind me (memory like a siv) to scan and send u the manual. i cant do it untill thursday cos i'm locked in here at work. the manual will probably only be good to show you if the bridle is connected ok. for setting up its crap (oops). if anyone can do it before then so much the better.

hope dis elps

If you want to keep flying on VPS then you need to play about with the line lengths/attachements to the bar to get satisfactory performance.... as third says this is a trial and error task and the manual is next to useless in helping on this.

If there is something wrong with the bridle, then the manual may or may not help you here since it shows the bridle set-up but does not say what the lengths of the various lines should be (the kit comes with the lines of correct length)

I don't know what 4.9 VPS bridle looks like but on my 7.8 the VPS one uses blue line, whilst the original is black, so if you're bridle is a mixture of blue and black line then you should have the correct bridle fitted (VPS bridle does not completely replace the original)

Ifyou want to go back to using handles, then you need to get hold of a non-VPS bridle for the 4.9, I am told flexi can sort you out on this one..

Guys - need a little help also. From my previous thread I have now got the new bridle set up correctly. The problem I have now got is steering the thing. Once it is up in the air it seems very slow to react to any movement on the bar and just flys to the edge of the window, does half a loop and hits the deck.

Do I need to mess around with the lengths of the line. The instructions are no help, but I guess both lines need to be set pretty much the same length.

When I power up I can feel the difference, its just the turning that is a problem.

No worries bud..

Play around with the back line length`s..then all will be sorted..

Sound`s to me like there to long..

Don`t shorten them to much because the centre line`s need to be tight @ all time`s, just do it in 1cm step`s..

hard to be specific on that one. On depower I was just holding the kite at the top the window, when I powered up it lifted me onto my toes as there was a definate 'boost'. Winds were about 10mph.

Probably more down to luck than judgement as I am having a few problems with the turning though.

My 9m is set up well..

I can de-power the kite down to something between 4.9 & 6.4..
