Are Scrub boards any good?

i am looking into buying an ATB for kiting but my budget is tight. Are the cheaper Scrub boards any good? (the model that costs around £100). Are they aimed at kids and very light riders or will they put up with my 12 stone?

scrub boards are great but the £100 Lion Canyon is probably a little small for you. I was asking the same question a couple of months back. I bought a Scrub Easy Rider instead second-hand for £90.

 

Not sure if any of the shops still ahve the Easy Rider in stock as it is last years model some places were selling new for £140 (RRP £180) this is basically last years version of the new £200 Furnace Creek

i use a scrub easy rider its really easy to learn on and is very strong so will take alot of weight. my only complaint is that the trucks come loose every time i take it out. it doesnt take long to tighted up but it does get a wee bit annoying. its a good board and quite stable. i put my board through alot and it hasnt broken yet.
