if so some loon down in Aus kitesurfs with a 24 sq m foil....

 

And some folk are working on a kite for sailing boats, the have a prototype 280sq m one, search for kitesails on google.

I saw waterworld too, quite liked it, don't rememder any kites though. However there was that rather fantastic self rigging racing trimaran...:D :D :D

Actually, I think that may have been a Cody - I'd like to know how they got THAT to rig itself automatically... Gotta love CG...

My dad showed me this artical in a magzine. It was about how to build a small triangle kite (country life mag or something) and it had 10 facts. One of them was that there was a kite that weighed 3 tons, but this cant be right can it? how would it get up in the air?

I was there taking video and telemetry for this the real thing. This is a Ted Daughtery design the same as the Quadrifoil X series and the XXtreeme L/S kite series as well as the speed foils that have showed up in South Africa as sub square meter kites such as the speed foil .75m2 speed foil that has clocked well over 100mph plus in moderate winds.

 

Give me a Blade III and I'll be happy!
