A strop is a connecting line running from the top power lead lines (normally although I have seen them on the brakes but that must take some getting used to), to enable you to hook in to your harness:D

A strop is also what some of the less tolerant contributors get into just before they instruct you to "search the forum"

I do not subscribe to that particular view point

A strop can also connect a bar to a harness. Can be bought or made (using a suitable length of approriate cord/rope/string/etc).

.......... is what our lass takes when I shout at her for moving my new buggy out of the lounge and looking like she might scratch the luxurious paintwork when I clearly havent finished playing with it yet.

They are best ignored and they go away eventually.

Hope that helps. ;)

Cheers Bob.

Buggy still has pride of place in front of TV by the way.

Strops also come in the form of plastic-tube-coated rope, which is quite stiff, and which fixes to a flying bar, producing a U-shaped loop. This loop then attaches to a harness hook. You can also get swivel-strops, which allow you to spin a flying bar to remove twists in your lines without having to unhook from your harness.

Unless you fly a Frenzy in which case the safety system gets in the way, ;)
