Moutainboard spares 2 kg on each leg movement, tons in one hour , so less tiring than suv

With skogging it s possible to do 20 km on paths on a moutainboard        if you use always the same leg its very tiring

I ride both moutain boards (pneumatic tires) and skate board. No way one would want to do 20 km of pushing off on a mountain board, the rolling resistance and the wheels getting in the road of pushing off are just to big a hinderance. Now compare a long board and especially the ones designed for long distance touring, 15 to 20 km no sweat. Switching stance, hmm never really got the hang of it, just manage fine with standard stance. Mongoose, yikes, give that a miss.

Try a long board with drop through trucks, a drop down deck and some flex to the deck, makes a big difference to long distance flat ground trips. Your feet are closer to the ground to put the energy easier to propel forward. Still love my Mountain boards, just reserve them for down hill on dirt and with the kites.
