andrewjohn Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 As far as I know, all waist harness' will do it to some degree, but you need one with a good spreader pad and a hold down strap like you get on all mystic harness's. I use a warrior waist/seat, so has the advantage of the nappy to hold things down, but sits higher like a waist harness. Not sure if they do similar anymore. I've had mine 7 yrs now, and never thought a bought changing it, and its still in great nic. Quote
Dubs Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 Mate I had exactly the same problem as you for years... Until I grew a pair and went into a shop and tried a load on and found one that fit properly. Couldnt believe the difference! I was convinced it was the fact I had 'Sticky outy' ribs and nothing would solve it. Fact is there's so many types you will find one that fits mate. Quote

Yeah its not the best to be honest, spreader bar pad is not the best, and the bar does not have a hold down strap. Cheers for the info buddy! Mate I had exactly the same problem as you for years... PKS is only a 10 minute drive away so maybe its best i pop in sometime next week! What harness are you using now mate? Quote
plummet Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 ozone snow kite harness is the answer. no more rib squash ever. The problem with landboarding on small beach/ feilds is that the kite is more often high. you get more rib squash than kitesurfing because of this. I use the mystic warrior on the water and the ozone snowkite harness on the land. If i want to do a hell overpowered boost fest then i slap the snowkite harness on. Quote
captain caveman Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 i found a soft shell waist harness to be best for me .... hadlow pro is fave ..... some of the mystic stuff also looks good for support when highin the window .... the also do the seat / waist hybrids which a lot of peeps love Quote
casey Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Ahh been there - heres what i learnt ....Accept although you may find a more comfy harness they will never be as comfy around your torso as a seat harness is. Keep kite lower; never at zenith. Make sure your harness isn't too big. Do not do it up tight, (this one solved mine entirely) you should be able to breath!! Lean back in your harness more; your kite shouldn't be trying to lift you up. Consider dropping a kite size for a few weeks to grow into it & learn more about pop rather than relying on an oversized kite. Good luck! Quote
