elfasa Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I miss Coventry a strangely large amount :/ i just finished uni there, and am now back at home. Im back up there twice in the next coupld of months (a wedding, and graduation ceremony) I rarely flew when I was there, only 4-5 times during the three years there, i saved myself to holidays back home, but when i did i went to coombe abbey (love that place). Could also try War memorial park ? its not as big as coombe abbey, but just about big enough, and closer to the city. this doesn't really answer your question, but i was feeling nostalgic ! Quote
mick Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 A lot of folk are reluctant to give up the names of their flying places so I wouldnt hold out too much hope for a mass of locations coming up. From where you are Wykin Fields which I have mentioned before and currently, the favourite location appears to be Cleeve Common. Always room for a noob there. I recently found quite a real nice flying field in Nuneaton. I took my plane for a fly there and got no objections. If you want the location PM me, but I won't put it out openly. Quote
impmad Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 please feel free to try The Airfield, MASC, midlands air sports club. just north of loughborough. dedicated kite sports site, and can't be too far from you. happy to help . Tim Quote
flexifoilrage Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 well if you're ever visiting West Wittering beach is a king of kite spots ! can't fly in the summer due to visitors as apparently swimming in the sea is more fun ?!?!?!?! IKR but in the winter its amazing with long flatsand and you can go about 3 miles each way ! Quote
