Flexifoil old school

Just wondering what flexifoil old school you have in your kite kit and do you still fly them.I have a Flexifoil Blade 4.9 mk 1 in orange with original lines,handles and bag.Flies in a whisper.:)

On occasion I like to fly my 2 line stacker's, I have a few and would like to try them for traction in a buggy or on a board.

 

Think the constant winds on a beach will enable some good long runs.

 

Anyone tried traction with a 2 line kite?

 

I had a quick go with a NPW5 on 2 lines the other day, in low winds. It was interesting.

Mk 2 6.4 & 9 Blades. My only big kites. Keep meaning to grab a 4.9 as well. Mental kites but the best fun.

Yup. 2 line 0.8m cirrus. Wkd fast little thing it was. High 20s for wind. Youngun had been flying it but got bored and I'm standing there with me Peter thin (first buggy) next to me

 

Why not... good fun looping it around in the power to get traction.

Mk1 blades my 3.3 / 7.2 are the most used but only when the suns out + a mint Mk II blade 4.9 in black / silver the original widow maker

rate very highly the small old ones 1's and 2's , but the biguns turn like a stoned dinosaur , and are difficult to use like modern kites .i'd say forget b1 7.2 and anything bigger than b2 4.9, unless you are happy with park and ride -if you like the type of ridin that requires a lot of kite input , and movement , forget the big early ones

I have a 3.5m Bullet which I actually fly quite a lot. Its my "fly when everything else is too scary" kite. Seems to happen often in the winter!

Stackers are ace in a buggy. It just takes skill. I flew a 6 8 and 10 stack. Keeping the surges under control was am issue.

I flew a peter Lynn Vibe 2.6 on a mountain board after Hangtime kite shop said it was fine to do it, but just be more careful.

I wanted brake lines! But I did stay with it for a good hour and it pulled me well

I've currently borrowed Batz Blade mk1 7.2 which just happens to be one of the finest blades i've ever flown - Wicked!
