hamishjohn Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Bought a 2010 compstick off the forum in great condition. have been using it for only a few sessions, went for a jibe and my right steering line snapped where the line connects to the leader. also the casing of the safety release has got a crack in it from where the depower rope been against it. really not happy with this as this kit is meant to be some of the toughest on the market. are there any slingshot reps on the forum that i can sort this out with? cheers Quote

KiteItRight Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 cant really blame a broken line on slingshot its hit or miss.. ive never snapped a slingshot line in 6 years. as for the release this is a warranty problem and can be replaced FOC in most cases with original receipt. its wear and tear. leighd Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 snapped two in one loop two days ago hah but as said above can't really blame slingshot Quote
lucie8uk Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Yeah, can't really say it's Slingshot's fault. You say the bar was in great condition when you bought it but at the end of the day it was used and you don't know what the previous owner did with it. Still, hope you are able to get sorted soon. jamesslingshot Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Really sorry to hear about your troubles, second hand used bars, bought from a forum are a tricky one, it is doubtful given the information presented on the forum of the age and where you bought from that i can do much on the line issue, the cracked QR though should be no problem, where in the country are you and who is your nearest dealer?
