Kiting insurnace

why is insurance for kiting coming up as over £60 for 7 days in Egypt - and that does not even cover all the kit i want to take. Help please - who should i use?

 

I may go for a yearly cover if can find decent value as plan to go away again.

Go through moneysupermarket and check out a company called insurefor, cost me about £25 start of last year for Egypt.

 

However if you want to insure your kites for the trip you need to look somewhere else.

Rothwell and Taylor (if i remember rightly) annual policy with kiting and wintersports included for 2 people £57.00. bargain.

is it mandatory to have an insurance in UK?

I mean a third party insurance or else.

Strongly advised, responsible, and I think mandatory at some locations/clubs.

 

For holiday insurance i have always used columbus, never had to claim though.

Not mandatory to have kite insurance in the UK although it is a by-law for some councils and clubs.

But for the price of it why not?

 

Unless your lucky enough to have a couple of million in the bank for liability if the worst comes to the worst?

 

There are many people who do not appreciate our sport like we do so why give them another argument to ban it?

So, it is like in Spain.

But as far as I know most of the people have liability insurance which, by the way, is valid out of Spain. There is a company that gives this insurance especially for kite.

Only people that have recently done the kite course have not signed the insurance.

In any case I understand being not mandatory. You are going to face the responsibility, with the insurance or with your own money or goods.
