cheezylee Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Hi all, Don't know if anybody can help me or have any wide wheels for soft sand.. was up at the Ho! today and was getting some good runs up the beach, until i hit the soft sand and me board comes to a stop! i have tried deflating the tyres a bit but that don't seem to help. My mate had his buggy flying up there but it does have massive wheels! so no problem with the softer sand. any help would be appriciated Quote
captain caveman Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 theres nothing you can do about m8 ..... apart from keep away from soft sand Quote
plummet Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 nothing?...... ye of little faith. check out my 30mph slide pics. http://forum.kitecrowd.com/kite-landboarding/30mph-power-slide-186777.html you can hoon into the the soft sand with these bad boys with out falling off. its pretty damn hard to ride the soft continiously but not impossible. you need gobs of power and legs of steel. they definatly work in the semi soft that would send a normal board flying..,., i took some video of just that yesterday. i'll get it up in the next week or so. lunaloco Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 every couple of months, this question pops up ... at the end of every thread, we come to a conclusion that there are wider wheels, bigger wheels, etc. available for boards (not specifically aimed at landboards) but it's not a real good solution. Conclusion: get a buggy on BFs if you want to ride on soft sand. Otherwise, look for places with hard packed sand to board on :-) Quote
