inic18 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Hi guys, Quick one, have you got any advice on summer boots that offer protection to your feet? (reef, see urchins, shingle..) Thanks!! Nic Quote
benbaron Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 After a lovely and thrilling experience with sea urchins a few weeks ago, I doubt any shoes would stop them mofos from sticking their spiny, stabby little bastard arms into your feet and legs... Quote
Zippy Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I am looking for a pair as it happens. I can tell you this much..... There is little to no stock left in the country, especially if you are size 9/10/11. >>THIS is the best I can come up with after looking this morning. Quote

ClexAook Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Those boots are sick. My friend has them. Quote
Bigbud Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Do you guys in boots just use them in flat water ? Don't get much of that up here really, well not when I go anyway but I really do fancy a setup. Quote
simon1976 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 http://images.the-house.com/ron_cell_bind_blk_2010.jpg Me wants me some of those but cant afford them right now Quote
ClexAook Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I ride boots 100% of the time. Anyone who rides camber will tell you it's very tidal and choppy, i don't see how straps are any better for chop, boots give you more control. I don't understand people who only ride them in flat water. Quote
Andy-j Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I ride them all the time, i keep telling myself i want a small strapped board for the nuking days but im starting to think i'll want my boots when the day i ride straps eventually comes. You get a better slash/top turn on a wave wi boots on too.! It's like slashing a powder stash on a snowboard.. Loads of fun! Only downside is you taste the wipeouts more! lol Oh and i cant ride upwind toeside in them. (care factor) Quote
Sammy1599968740 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Who rides upwind toeside anyway?? Boots FTW all the time except when underpowered so i ride a skim. Jim, next time you're on the island, come and grab a go!! On one condition... you're not allowed to send your kite wearing them. Quote
Andy-j Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I have a confession to make.. i done a massive air on sunday wearing boots.... It was over a fishing boat, the guys were sitting gutting their fish and i was passing just upwind from it.. I couldn't resist.. lol Quote

Bigbud Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 sick is good. Unless you have eaten rice then it comes back out your nose Quote
