plummet Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 jonny i do the same on water to,o bust a slide jibe up turn and get the hell back out. same process as the land but with different weighting of the board. first up i power away from the wave face then do it. or and more amusingly you can just throw a jump to slow down and if you time it right do a floater on the breaking wave as you come in to land. or transition jump over the wave and back the way you came. lab as jonny says power slide on the landboard. however its opposite to the water in terms of weighting your feet. evenly weight to board with some front bias and use your back foot to pushing the slide around. if your doing a 70/30 slit of weight on the back like kitesuring yourl have a hard time power sliding. Roland Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 it would also be nice to know how people stop when riding in messy swell? 1) pop transition letting the breaking wave pass underneath 2) carve round and use the next wave as a ramp and pop back to healside... Quote
