lunaloco Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 can you describe how you get sent there? Quote
Afro1599968737 Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 as soon as kitecrowd loaded up, the status bar on my browser keeps showing connecting / connected to api.twitter.com Quote
the_only_one Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 @what @is @wrong @with @the @new @twitter @plugin @? Quote
Cyprino Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 as soon as kitecrowd loaded up, the status bar on my browser keeps showing connecting / connected to api.twitter.com Surely that's just a background process going on, as the twitter API in the forum code connects to the actual twitter service? Or do you actually get redirected to a twitter page? Quote
Afro1599968737 Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 several times i've actually been redirected to the "undefined" twitter page seems to have settled down now i'm on a diff computer Quote
lunaloco Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 several times i've actually been redirected to the "undefined" twitter page seems to have settled down now i'm on a diff computer if you don't click anything with an '@' in front of if, you shouldn't get redirected to twitter though ... Afro1599968737 Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 you would have thought! if that was the case, i wouldnt have posted up about it twice it happened when i opened a kitecrowd link (eg bar-zone) in a new tab, and then finished reading a post... by the time i switched to the new tab it was in twitter other times, just in the open window. i think rasga was online at the time, so he might have been messing around with the settings? i guess we'll see if it happens again or if anyone else gets it. troy1599968664 Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 i have come across this with a torrent website. i was getting re directed every time i tried to access it. C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc was route to the file. i really dont know if that helps maybe not. try just clearing cookies as well. may well work Quote

Afro1599968737 Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Posted April 15, 2010 hah i dont use twitter, dont know any adam croot, and it was on a computer that was in a very public place, so no pr0n or torrents or owt. the fact that the twitter page was called "undefined" made me assume it was a screwup somewhere on the KC side of things, but i dont know enough about the software to pinpoint it. lunaloco Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 I will point Neil to this thread, since he implemented the Twitter app. Quote
rasga Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 Absolutely no change occurred today. Last night we deployed 4 lines of code, which will cause a lookup to Twitter. But there is no implicit redirect set unless an item is clicked If you can let us know more about the broswer/os that might help. Plus it must only occur randomly if you are able to post now and again. Quote
Bertie Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 afro, maybe its kitecrowd secretly telling you to fcuk off? Quote
Afro1599968737 Posted April 16, 2010 Author Report Posted April 16, 2010 kitecrowd wouldnt be that subtle besides i wasnt logged in the first time it happened. not my computer, but it was windows of some sort (not vista) and either firefox or IE, will check properly next week. Quote

People who open their mail on that sort of computers can open an infected file or something like that . Dunno .. I'm just guessing. Quote
Birdman Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 I'm getting sent to Bar Zone - Kitecrowd Kite Forum when I visit twitter.com from my Ubuntu system. Only happens once, second try ends up at twitter as expected. Dodgy cookie? Quote
rasga Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Rather odd Birdman. Sounds cookie related. That said last night any facebook page I went to redirected to some other page, the internet can be odd. Quote
