Luke, think its gutting that trust is again broken on this site. Realise its not the sites fault, just the ignorance of a few scattered individuals, have been bitten in the ass too. Learn from it bud, and hope you get it sorted. The feedback idea sounds good, as long as negative issues are given a fair chance to be explained.

Evening all

Just to keep you all up to date STILL NO SIGN OF KITE, STILL NO REPLY TO ANY FORM OF COMMUNICATION from BLADEiv . POLICE INFORMED, Am finding out more info on him all the time.

 

Some thought he may be dead - nope active on his FACEBOOK. BEEN ACTIVE ON THIS FORUM - he has been on here and actually deleted his orig posting of the 12m Frenzy for sale. In an attempt to hide his tracks - why else would you delete ??? Luckily i've been informed all posts are backed up even if deleted.

 

Some great responses from all thanks for the support - i'm pleased this, although sometimes off on a tangent, has stimulated discussion and woken a few people up to the risks involved. Its a great forum. Lets keep it that way. i'm sure in the main full of completley honest people.

 

Iknow some previous posts (now deleted) may have been a bit close to the mark but we should be able to name and shame in the real world and not hide. All info posted was info actually found in the public domain in different forms. All in the main found through searching on the net. Nothing truly private. Even if info was found that allowed access to accounts and was truely private a fraudster being caught themselves ..... well.......

Fully appreciate "the forum" needs to take care on posts from a legal point of view. (I've apologised to the Geoff - now where he's coming from )

 

My money is in his account / from the moment he saw the money no more communication / he's alive i know / his computer is working / he's able to delete posts/ he's able to post on facebook / he's able to go to work /

 

But he can't post MY KITE / he cant rfund my money / he can't tell why not sent / why a delay / why he's deleted his advert /

It all tells me only one thing

 

I said this before - in his orig posting he needed money as hard up. he offered to cover the cost of posting the kite - i sent email offering to pay for postage if it was a problem. If he was that hard up even offered to just send back my money and keep £20 of it. Is that not fair

 

Calmly patiently fairly tried to get a response - no reply

 

I would love to be able to post on here its arrived but sadly dont think that it will. If it does it will be be from the pressure from here or a polite or is that POLICE call

 

Hope all of you dont get caught. If you do it might just change your opinion of a few things - until it happens to you...... sincerley hope it dosnt

Like the good guys to deal with thread? Can't we start a kitecrowd mafia style thread, where, if someone turns one of us over, the perpetrator finds a horses head on their pillow, and if they are persistent offenders, they wake up with the fishes.

 

The trouble with the good guys thread is its 54 pages long....

A ranking next to each member to show that they are a trusted member would cost nothing (maybe a request to a mod to increases ranks) or a tickable box to show god guy, bad guy option....

sounds like a good idea if it were to be easily done by the mods - i know on clsc they have a karma by each person and people can put them up or down on eachother - only one person per day and only one point per day -

yes... Searching on forums is never best...

 

A tick or score next to the user name would be a much faster way of seeing if someone has a good rep.

 

I have been lucky and it's never nice to hear of anyone being ripped off.. This is a good opatunity to see if there is any way to improve the protection of buyer / seller..

 

I don't think searching a thread of 54 pages is a good way to go... And if there is a 54 pages of bad guys then that's lots of searching... And if you don't find?? Is that because there not there or because you did not format the search correctly?

Hope it gets sorted for you, i got ripped of a few years ago on here over a nobile 555 that never turned up....

Its always a bit of a lottery when you buy from here, the majority are all sound kiters, its a shame you found one of the knobs...

Had some interesting developments today. wish i could post what i've found out but at this moment have to keep stum. might not be coincidence he's looked at my profile today had couple of interesting phone calls

is there not one other person on here that flies near him or with him i find this a little hard to belive.

surely about 99% of us on here know personally or fly with others on this site.

i fly at my local field with a couple of mates that i never new from adam till we got chatting they are now the best of friends.we have poeple stop by the field from out of town because they have seen a kite up that fly in another county we exchange banter.and most of the time talk about this forum.we hook up online say hi then visit there sites ect.

Intresting, i'm having the same problem but with a mobile phone i bought at the mo. Such wank stains, send the item or refund, don't be a total prat about it!

 

Lucky it's on ebay though and dispute should sought it. Gd luck getting it sorted mate, try'nd find where he lives sure a visit won't hurt...

I see this guys got another thread in the for sale section selling more kites. Surely its not right that this guy can be allowed to advertise and sell more kites on this forum and be allowed to rip off more people. Surely the moderaters can stop him posting more stuff for sale until he has explained in full to them why he hasn`t sent the sold kite or refunded the money. I think it reflects poorly on kitecrowd if this guy is allowed to carry on selling and I for one don`t want that as i think this is a great forum but i feel if you can censor bad language of sensitive material then you should also be able to censor this guy until he has put things right.

Bingo. Plus, the ideal outcome is that everything gets sorted out and luke doesn't end up out of pocket. Banning people won't help communication much at this stage.

I wasn`t actually suggesting that you ban him, i was suggesting that you stop him from posting stuff up for sale until the outstanding matter is resolved. I didn`t notice the date of the other thread so at least no one else will be caught out for now but i still think it that stopping him from posting more stuff for sale in the future is the right thing to do until this situation is sorted out.
