balugh Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 Cheers Mark, myself and Martin from Cambridge got out at Heacham, tide was not the best as was heading back out for a low early aft.. Did not matter that the water was shallow though, had the 10 fully powered all morn, gusting to late 20's/30 cross shore.. Great session, glad to get a good one in after 3 wks of frustrating wind conditions. Only problem was walking back across the mud at low tide! Excellent... I had a really nice session 6-8 at Snettisham on my 15m S3. The sailing club was out and there was one kiter up that end too but I was otherwise on my own. Very relaxed. Would've been great to get a session in today but tried SUP instead.... It was fun...tho I wouldn't go out and buy one...:-) Quote
ady Posted August 20, 2012 Author Report Posted August 20, 2012 How lucky the past 3 days !! friday afternoon at hunny maxed out on my 11m then managed to get out yesterday for a couple of hours too. Someone shouted wishful thinking as we walked out to the beach lol !! reckon it was over 20mph in the afternoon for a bit. Soooooooo tired now tho. Quote
mick Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Well I hope some of you lot are having a good time. I can walk a bit now but could never make the drive over. Just can't wait till my arse heals up. At least the bullet hole aint black and blue anymore. Just gotta wait for the cracked pelvis to mend. Quote
balugh Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Just gotta wait for the cracked pelvis to mend. Ouch... Tell her to go easy on you next time! Quote
mick Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 Hows it going gals. Anyone been out this weekend ? Talking about weak end. Mine seems to be healing slowly. I don't have a board at the moment which is probably a good thang. Hopefully I can borrow one and score a day out next weakend. Quote
PaulCB Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 Mick, glad you feeling better. You need to take it easy with this extreme sport - paddling! Hopefully see you next weekend. I got out for a light wind session on Wednesday afternoon, which was ok Anyone out tomorrow? Quote
mick Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 Hi paul, gotta get out. I'm going a bit crazy. I need to smell the sea, the feel of rubber on my skin. Thanks for rubbing it in about getting out in the week. Quote

I got out for a light wind session on Wednesday afternoon, which was ok Anyone out tomorrow? A full southerly if the forecast is to be believed. Might go Snett / Heacham in the morning Paul...or possibly the sailing club at low tide. Likely to be pretty off shore at Old Town. Quote
PaulCB Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 Mark, yeah was thinking of heading out mid-late morning to Heacham/Snett. Is one better than the other? Cheers. Quote
balugh Posted August 26, 2012 Report Posted August 26, 2012 Depends on the wind direction Paul... You can do a little bit more of a southerly at Snett and still be on shore. Sometime you just have to stand on the beach and judge at the time. Massive mud flats at both on a low tide though so it can be a squelchy walk to the water. Quote
mick Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Well I'm gonna try and get out at the weekend. If its ok I'll spend it with you lot BUT I don't have a board yet so it may be taking pictures and fishing unless one of you has a spare board I can borrow. XXXXX Quote
Perry Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 What's happened to your board Mickola did the big waves get it? Quote
mick Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Hi Perry. I sold my Xellerator to buy that lovely OR Zen. I sold that about June I think and Azbree aka Karen let me have his LF Kaos to demo. I never got one sesh on it in nearly 6 weeks so I gave it back last week. I didnt know how long I'd be out of action init. Its a great board for anyone looking for a 136 freestyle. I'm more comfortable on a stiffer 138 free ride tbh. I'll see what happens if I get there. I'm ok standing but a shallow water crash is gonna hurt. The years ripping by and Ive hardly had a good session. You out and about these days? Quote
PaulCB Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Hey Mick, I have a board you can borrow. I know for a fact you won't loose it, but we better not discuss this here ;-) Don't want you scorn again on KC. How are the bruises? You really need to avoid those kind of holidays ;-) Cheers, Paul Quote
Perry Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Yep we've all been to Anglesey just on our way home. Met up with Bartie (Karen) and her hubbie Andy has a few beers at the campsite with them Saturday night. Birthday meal out up there last night for Ady as its a special birthday for him today. Fab holiday with fab folks it was :-). Probably about Hunstanton this weekend :-) Quote
mick Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Ady? Our Ady? Was it his 60th? Thanks Paul, Anythings better than nowt. Even a Best. Quote
PaulCB Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 I wasn't gonna lend you the Best. I've got a scrap bit of MDF with a couple of bits of string on. You should get a couple of hours out of it before it turns to mush :-) Quote

Perry Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Hey mick we were over yesterday and had planned to stay till Sunday. Given the shocking forecast and lack of wind yesterday we came home again last night. Enjoy yourself Jo Wilson and Dom Moore are in town running wave clinics so there will be loads of people around. Quote
mick Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Well on the beach there was no wind Elaine but a small section of Gay Pride provided the entertainment. Oh how Ady must have regretted letting a little mincer in jade green shorts and girlie plimsoles try his 15 mtre Ozone. It was sort of funny seeing it crash into the razor shells several times. Kite tape will soon repair the pin holes. Then he asked if my kite was pumped up. A quick F off made my feelings clear. Quote
Perry Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Lol at least it was the jade green shorts and not the purple (oh wait Violet) chinos Quote
mick Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 70 quid a pair he said. For that money, I told him he could have had a kitesurf lesson. Oh how Ady did lol at that. Quote
