hi all can any one tell me is there any rules for hunstanton also a cheap B & B that is kiter friendly driving there on friday so asked work to let me stay the weekend for kiteing :) they agreed

At New Town / Sailing club you should only go out when the tide is beyond the groynes.

At Old Town (Old Hunstanton) the Le Strange Inn car park is closest to the beach. You can kite there at all tides if the wind is right. There's a line of wooden posts that can't be seen at high tide. They're pretty much straight out from the hotel on your left.

The wind works on both beaches from SW through N (a little bit of NE at Old Town).

Brancaster is further round the corner to the NE so the beach runs W-E and faces N. Wind works from W thru N thru E. Set up / launch to the west (left) of the golf course club house. There's a bird / seal sanctuary to the East side so avoid go too far that way. There is a sign there (or used to be) so have a look around if no one's about. That said, if it's windy and a 'Branny day' there'll be kite surfers there. Sometimes you can't get out to the car park / beach at high tide as the road is flooded.

The beaches as Old Town and Brancaster are good for buggiers / land boarders. North side of the beach at Old Town. West side of the beach for Brancaster.

Pretty friendly crew generally. It's also worth stopping into Hunstanton Watersports as they'll often know where people are going.

Two other beaches that work OK at high tide are Heacham south beach and Snettisham. Both are south of Hunny. They're pretty mucky at low tide though...

Nice one...the sunshine is great.

As you know...the only trick I do is to go upwind like a demon but I don't think that would be very impressive at the cable park...:-0

Mickster...if you get a chance to buzz RAF Marham you wont be far off my place. They might shoot you down but you can wave at me on the way down...

Bit harsh that, Mark. It was a bit gusty today. Had a few wobbly moments when the heli got lifted by a big gust. One minute hovering 10 feet up, next minute 100 ft.

Haven't been in a chopper in years and years but have some good memories of tootling around in them when I fought forrest fires. When I win the lottery...
