getholdofgraeme Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 can the helmet wide one be fitted to the board too? or helmet only? Quote
ATBShop Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 can the helmet wide one be fitted to the board too? or helmet only? The cameras are all the same, like wise the housing it is merely the attachments. Motorsports comes with the suction mount. Helmet with the Head/Helmet mount Surf Hero with the surfboard implant mount So far we have found the Motorsports Mount and Helmet hero to be best for Kiting and other closely related sports Quote

_Geordie_ Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 Here's an example of both camera's in use. Speed flying in the lakes. Hopefully get a chance to use mine at the weekend in the snow! As for importing them - you should be able to get it in the UK with at least a 10% discount - this brings it pretty close to the US price when you consider shipping and import duty/vat - $299 translates to around £265 quid in total. spooky Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Whats the best way of mounting the camera to the lines? Thinking of getting one but cant get my head around that bit Get the HD version, well worth the extra, give me a shout if your interested as can get a bit of discount on them. Working on a line mounted system, but may depend on the type of kite set up you have ie the front lines and safety??? Jon Quote

_Geordie_ Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 Cool. Well I've lashed something together using some old lines and the square baseplate that comes with the box. Never got round to using it yet though. Here's some footage from my first tests of the camera. http://forum.kitecrowd.com/kite-videos/some-snowkiting-videos-gopro-hd-first-videos-176654.html Quote

Dan Masochist Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 Little bit off topic but i need some help, I've got a 5mp wide gopro and just downloaded the firmware upgrade so it can take 4 and 8gb sdhc cards. I formatted the 4gb sdhc card using mac osx disk utility (the gopro website said do this) and now the gopro wont turn on with the card installed. I've tried formatting it in Fat32 and mac journaled but no use. Before i send a message to gopro anyone got any recommendations on what to try? Quote
DaftCookie Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 Dan, maybe try formatting the card to NTFS...might work? Quote
