MadAndy71 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 if they did it to me i wouldnt go on a forum and have a go at them, i would contact them personally and talk it out with them and work something out. afterall this isnt between us and abw, its between appozone and abw. but tbh appozone should have bought the .com and .co.uk domains so this couldnt happen imo You have obviously never dealt AIRBOSSWORLD before then? braddels Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 look at this http://twitter.co.uk/ someone has done this with twitter, do people complain, no, they go back to the url and change the .co.uk to .com OMFG EFFORT Quote
andrewjohn Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Hehe. Power to the people. They've removed the link to their site. Didn't do as I suggested and switch the link to the real appozone though. Now that would have been comminity spirited. http://www.appozone.co.uk Quote
braddels Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 You have obviously never dealt AIRBOSSWORLD before then? if you read one of my previous posts it says ive never had a problem with them before, theyve always been nice people and really helpful Quote
Morb Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 They do like to deal with cocks, thats why you get on. Quote
king.module Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 >>it doesnt directly affect any of us yes it does - if i go looking for appozone and put the wrong URL i don't want to end up at airtoss >> i wouldnt expect anything because they havent done anything wrong isn't that what all those Politians said about their 'expenses' - hmmm that was a good bit of PR as well... MadAndy71 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 if you read one of my previous posts it says ive never had a problem with them before, theyve always been nice people and really helpful Ahhh, was there a sound of cash tills ringing in thier ears or were they being helpfull with a view to winning or retaining a customer? Quote
crazyman Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 ill put my torches and pitchfork away... not that i really minded... never been to appozone or airbossworld granted it was sneaky but it wont stop me from still wanting to go there one day. Quote
braddels Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Ahhh, was there a sound of cash tills ringing in thier ears or were they being helpfull with a view to winning or retaining a customer? i didnt buy anything from them the first couple of times i phoned them up, so they didnt get any money out of me, so i would say they were being helpful to a potential customer like business should Quote
andrewjohn Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 look at this http://twitter.co.uk/ someone has done this with twitter, do people complain, no, they go back to the url and change the .co.uk to .com OMFG EFFORT The point is though braddels, appozone is run by Appo because he loves kiting, not to make huge amounts of money like twitter etc. That's why people think it's below the belt. Antigrav Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 look at this http://twitter.co.uk/ someone has done this with twitter, do people complain, no, they go back to the url and change the .co.uk to .com OMFG EFFORT Yes but twitter.co.uk doesn't link you to facebook or something similar. Appozone is run by appo for the kiting community, to promote it as a fun activity for everyone to enjoy. Obviously it's legal and above board to do, but you just shouldnt do it to a site which someone has setup specifically to help others, and also runs for no charge. It just creates a bad image for ABW edit: beat me to it /\/\/\ Quote
spooky Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 ive found my way onto PKS website from loads of different links on google when you type kite shop into google But thats just the search engine putting them at the top due to the number of hits they get surely? The point he is the apparent deliberate attempt to undermine or even jump on the good efforts of someone else by being a bit sneaking. Yes yoru right the BP issue is a bad one, so I guess you do not fill up at BP garages, right? Or any other? Jon Quote

Morb Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 I dont think Bradders is aware of Appo at all, and the input he used to have into this site. You know, back when it was good, and even the annoying little cocks were at least funny! Quote

You know, back when it was good, and even the annoying little cocks were at least funny! i am aware of appo (but only through his site), but if you want his site all you have to do is type .com and not co.uk, and if you cant remember which is which there is a relitvely new invention called search engines to help old people like you who are getting a bit forgetful;) Quote

kinny Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 I know they've not done anything illegal but its a shame none of them have had the decency to come on here and explain or at least fight their corner on this??? Although i guess they would be lynched as soon as they posted to be fair! Quote
