jordan_aryan Posted July 18, 2009 Report Posted July 18, 2009 so: Havoc : RPM Hifi comp : Fuel Envy : Rev both saftey are now "push" And the prices on that site are lower than 09. If i do a trade in, which i might, im torn. ^ yea, 09 kit took sooooo long to arrive. Whats the point - your gear will still be in good nick coz it never gets used..... Get a job you bum ! haha, when ever i look on here and youve posted, its always giving me shit. I find out if ive got one next week. Quote

shane71 Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Hi all, just had to reply to this post, so of course I had to sign up. Had fun with the Envy and the Havoc that you see in the pics, yes the actual ones you see All I can say is wow, I have been using Havocs for a few years and was looking to upgrade this year, my local dealer is Surfconnect, which is the link that was posted, and I went for a test run this last weekend. The Havoc was great, excellent handling and turns very fast, probably a little less stable than last years kite but makes up for it with it's agility. So I am thinking to myself, yes I will be buying one of these. But wait for it....... Padi (Surfconnect dealer) tells me to try the Envy, all I can say is that you have got to try it, more stable than the Havoc and faster, turns quicker, relaunch is so easy, and it goes like a bullet. WOW - I thought that the Havoc was great, and it is, but I will be buying an Envy without a doubt, in a month I am told stock should be available. SO now to save, but in the meantime I will just have to "borrow" a certain dealers kite when I can. Cheers all Quote
Andy-j Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 dont post on here again until you have a review for the Hifi Quote
_Geordie_ Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I've never flown a LF kite, although I've riden their wakeboards/bindings for years, best wakeboard bindings ever, as soon as they brought out the luxurys for kiteboarding I had to have em. One disadvantage of living up in Cumbria its real difficult to get gear to demo. Wonder if anyone is bringing any demo gear to BKSA at Barrow..... Quote
dj-jt Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 i have just got the 09 hifi comp and its just a beast of a kite great top and bottom end and just wants to pop you hard of the water when you load against it honestly cant see how they can make it much better but the bar does look rather sexy Quote
shane71 Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 dont post on here again until you have a review for the Hifi Sorry, have never used the HiFi, one of the team riders swears by it, but he is 20kg lighter than me, and 17 years younger and a bit psycho. I am not yet into all the tricks that he does. Our wind is a bit patchy at the moment as we are still in winter, so I will ask about it next time I go. Will be too busy on the Envy if I can wrangle it to give the HiFi a go though. Cheers, and good winds to all. Quote

marman Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Must admit I like the look of a lot of the LF stuff now, just don't think they were big enough when we tried stocking it Quote
paulie_amoose Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Yup.. Liquid Fart does look the shit... Quote
conor Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 i remember someone telling me they are owned by neil pryde which also owns cabrinha? anyone know? still i love my LF kites really want a newer one though Quote
Fred53 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Report Posted August 4, 2009 everything looks pretty good! looking forward to the new boards as well. The bar is a great improvement and it was needed as that was one of the downsides of the kites Quote
doggy Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 everything looks pretty good! looking forward to the new boards as well. The bar is a great improvement and it was needed as that was one of the downsides of the kites Bar and chicken loop are awesome! huge loop and uncluttered Only problem was the safety in 08 as it easily became stuck with sand/salt, slightly improved in 09 with a few gaps for flushing, still needed to be washed out if you needed it to activate easily. We have to clean the ones for the school out after every use. I let my own one clog up though, so it doesnt release. It is a pull safety on the chicken loop so if you grab the chicken loop when hooking back in its sometimes goes off when brand new, needs some sand in it! 2010 is a push system so problem solved Quote
Liquid Force UK Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 i remember someone telling me they are owned by neil pryde which also owns cabrinha? anyone know? still i love my LF kites really want a newer one though Completely untrue. Liquid Force is a company of its own. Neil Pryde do own / distribute Cabrinha. I am off to the LF dealer meeting in Germany next week where I found out all the details about the products. I'll let everyone know the outcome! We will receive demo's in around a months time. With kite it right in the North (previously, few in the area) and various retailers around the UK now stocking the products, we are aiming to get demo's much more widely spread. Quote
soggy Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 The boards are now up on the link that Jordan posted. Quote
