si-fly Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) Hi all, been thinking of upgrading my old Skywalker pro 127x37 which I love, to a more modern board as I feel that at 90kg I could do with something a bit bigger, and I dont really seam to get much pop from the board. I like to ride powered up and boost but am too old for unhooked tecky stuff, so wondered which board would be best between the "Ballistic" and the " Advisory Carbon" for more freeride type riding in generally onshore chop. The other thing I wanted to ask is how well do these boards ride chop being carbon, do your knee's suffer after a session? Cheers , Si. Edited July 9, 2010 by si-fly Quote

I cant speak fo the advisory but i have to say the ballistic is exceptional in chop, i was concerned myself before riding it but i think it is such a nice comfortable board to ride, i love mine. No pimping here here, i just like what i like! Quote
Blast Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 I've used both the Advisory Carbon and the Ballistic a lot...well pretty much every session as I also share the demo's with my my GF! The Advisory is the out and out freestyle board with quite a bit more stiffness to it. You'll feel the heavier landings on this board slightly more than on the Ballistic. Recently I twisted my ankle pretty badly and was suffering on the Advisory although I genuinely didnt notice it much on the Ballistic which rides a little smoother in the chop. They are both awesome boards and do cross over quite a lot. So my advice for you would be the Ballistic but it's a tough call as both epic. Quote
si-fly Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Cheers, pretty much what I thought, just need 2 sort out a demo down here in somerset, and sort out some wind! Thanks again, Si. Quote
