Bigbud Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Would the flexifoil asylum's fit it ? Quote
KiteItRight Posted November 23, 2009 Author Report Posted November 23, 2009 asylums fit fine Tom Quote
Andy-j Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 std pads on them are pretty decent, i'm riding the 2010 carbon now and its good. Outstanding in flat water but handles swell and chop well.. oh and it's really good for sticking hot landings so time to get a looping!. Quote
Andy-j Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 The minute i got on this board i knew it was for me, the confidence it gives me is just what i was looking for, it's fun, pops well, makes sketchy landings feel safe, just cant get it to ride blind yet!! haha. 100% pilot error though! speak to kiteitright and try blag a shot of a demo... or blast kiteboarding deal in them too i think. Bigbud Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Big thanks to Tom and kiteitright for staying late at work so I could collect the demo !! Your a star fella Jim Quote
Andy-j Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Carbon? let us all know what you think, i love mine. Quote
Bigbud Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Think its the same demo you had Fingers crossed for wind Just hope its not too freestyle for me, i'll never do it any justice as I can't even pop yet but then again it might be my old board is not upto the job. We'll find out soon enough I hope Quote
Blast Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Sarah is looking after blast while i'm here teaching in Brazil and I know she has taken orders and deposits for 2010 boards already, the graffics aren't finalised yet but the awsome smooth ride will b the same. All the boards r wood core and the carbon, even though it's only a thin layer makes a big difference, generally the guys up this way all ride the bfc, Sarah rides the wood but she is obviously lighter and finds the carbon too stiff for her so it does depend on your weight aswell as your preference. But all the boards r just as smooth as each other. We have the other boards for demo if anyone fancies a try of one. Quote
Andy-j Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 I have a 2010 deck now... Graphics are nice, didn't really take at first but they have grown on me. Not much change in the shape, at first glance it looked like a tad more rocker, tip/tail is slightly different maybe a tad thinner. It rides the same though, possibly feels a tiny bit wider under foot. It looks generally better built and a better finish. Quote
kernow00warrior Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 hey blast, im on the sniff for a new board now, and id be really keen to have a go if you got a freestyle orientated board going. be stoked if you could sort us out... just let me know what i gotta do cheers k.w Quote

Mr X Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 On the topic of boards, I have transform into a pimp. The Wainman Blunt really is something else. They are quite unlike anything I've ever tried. Riding one is a bit like cutting through butter with a hot knife. Quote
AliB Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 whats the widest stance these boards have? could someone measure inner bolt to inner bolt for me please? Quote
Bigbud Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Think Tom has set this Demo board up on the widest, not sure without taking the pads off which I'll do tomorrow evening but currently setup at approx 420mm between the two inner pad screws. Quote

Bigbud Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 Carbon? let us all know what you think, i love mine. You wear boots with yours fella ? Had a bit of a nightmare getting my feet in with em on. Got 40 mins yesterday on it, I liked it for what I could tell but to be honest its the most wind Ive been out in and I wasn't concentrating on if I liked the board or not Just hanging on Quote
KiteItRight Posted November 30, 2009 Author Report Posted November 30, 2009 cheers bigbud just asked daniel if you can get it any wider for you guys how like you bollocks slapping against your legs Quote

Quote
Bigbud Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 You tried loosening the straps? Come on fella Tom couldn't find the BF straps so I have the BF pads with my F-one Straps, the Fone straps only open so far and are shit Its a tight squeeze with my pads but the BF ones are taller. Unfortunately the F-one pads don't fit. All a ball ache I know, hopefully will try bare foot at the weekend. Try again The one thing that really stood out was that it was very slidey and smooth I managed my first Pop as well, although it didn't go to plan Pointed down wind, came back up onto my edge built up loads of tension and kicked off with my back foot big time. Got about 4 foot of the water Unfortunatley the board was still on the water Fecking straps Quote
Andy-j Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 i have the straps on the tightest the go barefoot and had to loosen them for my last session bootied. only session i've had on it with boots tho, seemed fine. Quote
