koma Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Looks like a decent upgrade! I'll have to give it another test run when i see one on the beach. Quote
st00pid Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 That looks good but what happens if you hook in and the rope is underneath instead of on top? My naish is to the side which means I can get to it on the left or right. Quote

My naish is to the side which means I can get to it on the left or right. Our bar has been designed to be used easily with ether your left or right hand. We found that if your right handed and the depower is on the left side, some people have issues. You can adjust the depower with the cleat above or below. Quote
Lee Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 That looks like a great update to an already great kite! Thank you for sending the demo down to Melbourne last season I really enjoyed flying it, now I am waiting patiently for my kites to have their day so I can buy new ones. Quote
Guvner01234 Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 My wife has the 7m griffin 2010 and we have been very happy with it. I would be very interested in a chicken loop upgrade for it as she likes the smaller bar she has for it, but prefers a below the bar safety. I was wondering how far the bar travels when the safety is engaged, as im assuming the metal rings the safety line is attached to will not pass though the bar ? Quote
lais817 Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 New loop looks great Chris, how do I go about trading in my old one? Quote
westfire Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 New loop looks great Chris, how do I go about trading in my old one? Lais817 go to top of this thread & open up the news article, & you will see you can buy one dirrect from Griffin Kiteboarding for $99 or swap your old bar for $69. Quote
westfire Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 To Griffin Kiteboarding, good to see you here on the forums Two questions, I'm looking to buy a 14m kite later this year is the new bar going to come with that kite or will I have to trade the bar in with your current deal? Second question a little left feild, went to your website & noticed that Briskites is not on your list of dealers, not quite sure what the deal is there. Why do I ask if it wasn't for Jason at Briskites letting me demo the 10.5 Griffin I probably wouldn't even thought of having a look at one. Got to take it out twice, once in 35knots just edging into the way to overpowered wind range for my comfort zone but felt the kite was very predictable & not going to do anything to nasty, ended up using the safty & was very impressed with the entire feeling of the kite so to speak. Second day took it out in 30knots & had a great ride with it, again it did a great job & thought of it as a kite to look at getting next season (late 2010) came back in only from shear exhaustion, from the constant riding. This is one kiter sold on buying an Australian product. Quote
