Is the kite park still open? Does everyone tend to hit the beaches still rather than the park?

Does anyone know if anything has changed at all at Cleethorpes Thorpe Park?

If you are talking about Boston kite park its long been ploughed for crops, ever since the price of wheat went back up.

Went to south Mablethorpe yesterday. Got on the beach at the Alcatraz flats 20 yards from the car.

Spent three hours going to north end and back. Much tacking, very wet and dirty

I'm up at my parents in Doncaster for Easter (we are Midlands Airboss kiters), was hoping to kite at Pontefract but no wind the last few days:( Thinking of going to Cleethorpes or Mablethorpe tomorrow. My sons into kitesurfing/landbording but I buggy, which is the best beach for both? and for Mablethorpe can we park in the Seal Sancutry car park?

Hoping for some nice winds tomorrow....

Can't tell you which is best for kitesurfing, but Mablethorpe North End is probably best for buggying if its an onshore forecast. Yes - park in the seal sanctuary car park and take the path over the dunes just to the side of the Ferryman Pub and cafe/shop.

A couple of kitesurfer guys I know from Louth head to Mable if the wind is right so I reckon it should be OK

thanks house for that but me and shiner have been quite a lot before we usually park a little bit further up in a car park and it is just about15-20 steps down to the beach so the two of us have to carry our buggy's down. and it's about £4 for the day it's a lot easier than dragging all your kit back up over that Sand ... heart attack stuff..lol

Anyone up at Cleethorpes or Mablethorpe tomorrow?
Nah, stuck here in a bleedin' office watching the treetops swaying. 18mph onshore at Mable...enjoy!

Ditto that Chris..........

Some of the guys are in for a great session....

Saturday looking great................can it stay that way ?????????
Spot on for Saturday Simon but too soon to call it. My guess is high tide approx 1.00pm (correct me if I'm wrong) so could be an early or late sesh. I'll keep watching...
