Sammy1599968740 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 sunday is a goer for sure. aberffraw or rhossy. low water about 6:30pm. so realistically usable at about 3:30/4! reckon we'd easily get a good 4 hours in if you're on the beach for 4. evening session. sunset and all that. should be good! kelo Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Did you two manage to get out or was it way too southerly by then? Kelo, I don't know if you know, but if you hit low tide on southerlies you can get away with Rhyl in your buggy. It has to be at low tide; it's a fair bit softer; you have to go as far out as you can to avoid as much of the shadow from the buildings & once that water comes back in after an hour/90mins your in the same gusty/no wind state as Prestatyn, but quite nice to know for a quick after school sessions in the summer 4 days off & where's even the tiniest bit of wind man?? yeah had a good 2 hour sesh it was a bit gusty but moved around a bit to the west later on which was nice cheers for the info on rhyl still banned from putting my buggy on the car after my little accident:) Quote
flysurfer1080 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I did not manage to get out over the week, because work was hectic as everyone wanted if for Thurs... Whats the plan for the weekend, Abba or Rhossy? Quote

Maverick440 Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Saturday looks good tide and weather wise, however wind is forcast E/N/E Any ideas on where to go for a beach session. Quote
bartiebat1599968741 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 The official line on that one is Lligwy Mav, never actually tried it in a bug, believe it's a bit soft for landboards? But then I could just be making it all up! @ Liam, that was last week!! You missed all the fun & excitement of 3 days driving to skool with a full quiver of kites, wetkit & a board squashed nicely in the back of a teeny C2, watching the 22mph wind on XC all day, only to drive straight home every night when it dropped to 8mph!! We need a wakeboard boat between us!! @Sam, Scott, Nat & Matt - do you want to meet half way on sunday somewhere with your Atmos kit?? Quote
