It's a bit quiet in here these days? I hope you buggynuts are well?

If anybody is at a loose end the weekend it's the first round of the pka at Hoylake if you fancied watching/joining in, there's plently of spaces in the open class ;-)

I think Jim and Nick have both got buggies again, perhaps they will come and play...

I fancy coming to take some pictures sometime, but can't make this weekend as hoping to go to Rollerburn, another former passtime...

Hi Carl, How's tricks?

Yeah I've heard they have buggies etc, but it seems to of gone quiet now it's turning to winter lol. There's always the Ainsdale race in Feb, I'm not sure where the March race is yet

Hello there...thought I'd take a peek for old times sake and it's like I'd never been away. Last time I was here (nearly 3 years ago I guess) most peeps were selling or had sold up, but it appears the bug has bitten again - maybe time to dig out those old Flexi Bullets :-)

My last kiting experience was with Nick's old 12m Frenzy, just a bit of free-flying at Huttoft with the kids. Very light wind (my daughter was flying it and she's about 8 stones) but it didn't stop me landing awkwardly and tearing some knee ligaments. The knee's been dodgy ever since and I've had to be a bit careful with it, but I'm getting the urge to get out there - I presume Mable is still the place to be?

some of us are still here i've been mostly at hunstanton on the water, i found that i get out more as the wind is mostly SW and it doesn't matter about tide times or if it rains.......not that stopped us anyway

do you still fly at butterwick park?

...do you still fly at butterwick park?

Haven't flown anywhere since nadging my knee, I don't reckon airborne tricks are for my age group lol. Butterwick is kite-friendly but not big enough for buggy cruising which is all us saga types are fit for, if I dig the kites out though I'll pop down for a bit of practice.

Finally managed to get a post on here! I created a new account and tried posting ........ it had to go via the mods before being displayed, so not sure if it will appear or not. Had to alter my email address to get to be able to post.

I no longer get email notifications of posts on here, perhaps it was email address issues also.

Life is so busy that i haven't had time to go kiting or buggy'ing. Work is quite insane and have been working weekends, evenings and early mornings. I ended up refusing to work from 11pm till 6pm for month period and then have to pick up the rest of my workload during the day. Fatherhood is great with Jenson not long celebrating his 2nd birthday, but my god it swallows up your spare time!!

Long story but i thought i'd found vicky dead on the kitchen floor a couple of weeks ago with blood pouring from her head, eyes wide open, mouth wide open with a broken tooth and no sign of life and floppy like a rag doll. Scared the living wotzit out of me but she's on the mend now and is going to have a nice scar on her brow!

Determined to get the Frenzys out at Ferry Meadows when it stops raining and make a day for a Mablethorpe run. Jenson has no fear and is really into anything physical and exciting ....... he's going to be a kiter without a doubt and will be screaming for a go on my kites when i get out :D

Hope everyone is happy, well and cheerful!!

manages to pick up a cheap 2009 3m flexifoil atom ..(yes i know its a flexi) for the kids, Jade wants the board and Kieran wants the buggy although i've set up the buggy on the shortest setting and he just can't quite reach the foot rest properly:rolleyes:

Hi Rob, all the trades/companies we work are extremely busy and say it is more like it used to be. Building sites around stamford and P'boro are popping up and building at a fair rate of knots. I've been working at a local stately home since February which has been really interesting and lucrative for my company.

You bought a Flexi???? Bloomin eck Rob, what a shocker!

Look forward to seeing you again ........ hopefully on a beach with a kite in my hand.
