KiteCrasher Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 Evening I'm new to Kite Buggying and am based in the Stamford area. I usually go buggying on Empingham Playing Fields. Was just wondering where you guys go buggying in the area? Travelling is no issue, just want some more practice in as can travel downwind but haven't mastered coming back yet *Fail*!!! Anyway I look forward to your replies Wayne Quote
weaponxrob Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 it's looking pant's for tomorrow tobias will check in the morning but don't think i'll be out Quote
tobias Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Was thinking the same tbh...Sunday looks better though, so may be going then. Such a shame, took a few days off work just to fly the kites and I've been doing productive stuff like clearing out the garage and tidying the spare room, it's just not right!!! Quote
Ri chie Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 Why does everyone fly in Stamford now I'm gone, although back for today Quote
weaponxrob Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 so where r u based at now richie ??? Quote
Ri chie Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 Leuchars living on the beach near as damnit... Quote
tobias Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Don't suppose any of you know a good CH engineer? Had to remove a radiator for some decorating yesterday and I now seem to have air trapped in the system and no hot water, eek!!! Bled the radiators and pump but whilst some air comes out it stops after a while and no water comes out the bleed valve. Missus aint happy! Quote
weaponxrob Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Run the heating then let it rest for 5 mins then bleed again keep doing that till all air is out but NEVER bleed whilst pump is running as you'll pump more air into it if that don't work then it might need back filling via mains Quote
weaponxrob Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Leuchars living on the beach near as damnit... Not jelous much Off to the isle of Wight next week for 10 days so hoping to spend a lot of time at the beach just hope there is some wind Quote

Pump still noisy when it's on but 2 of 4 radiators upstairs now are full up, although I have to admit I did bleed while pump was running this morning. Have a number for a plumber just in case but hope it's slowly getting sorted, might look into backfilling. So long as there's hot water tomorrow, I then should be able to shoot off to hunny-weather looks great for it. On the subject of hunny-if you follow the a149 round, just before holme next to sea, there's a left to beach and nature reserve-is it possible to landboard up there does anyone know? The walk up the beach towards the golf course is getting boring already! Quote
weaponxrob Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Na not there m8 you'd be bette off at brancaster but I thought that the wind direction would be better for hunny??? Quote
tobias Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Thanks as always rob, I'll stick with hunny tomorrow then. Quote

Jim ....... hows the hand getting on? Have you found anything to to stop you going mad from boredom yet? lol If its any consolation even tho theres a good offshore at mable on sunday the tides arent good at all. Getting an itchy gusset to get some sand under my buggy!! Quote
