nigel Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 I've had this kite for a week now (some one buy this kite), and it's not bad. My biggest gripe is the fact that the lines that are on it weigh a ton. They are kitesurfing lines and are way to heavy for the kite. Switching to a lighter line (less lbs) will greatly improve this kite. Needs to be used powered up, quite lifty. Would make a good jumping kite. Doesn't like the brakes, and wants to be used like a two stringer kite. Almost Ozone Haka-ish. Quote
rodpacker Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Hm, I could be interested BUT just checked eBay in Europe and I can get a BRAND NEW 4.5m Savage 2010!!!!!!!!!! for 210Eus which according to YahooCurrencyConverters converts to 301AUS$. (+20Eus shipping). Considering this is has been a DEMO kite for a while AND it is the OLD model, I think - no offenses - this is quite a bit overpriced. Maybe I'm wrong cheers Quote

I get advised price the supplier wants for a demo kite at the end of its life with us. Once it is moved they then supply a new demo kite. I REALLY do appreciate! However, I talked to the ebay seller I mentioned above and ended up buying that Savage2 - it should be here within 10days - YEEEEW! (Luckily enough there is a dealer over in France that sells these - for a limited time - for almost half the RRP in Europe AND sending to Australia means that they don't have to chuck on VAT which is basically as much as the shipping via Fedex => I am paying the same price I would if I bought it in Europe - woooo! Anyways, they've got a bunch of them for sale in various sizes atm if anybody is interested, let me know) Whilst looking into the Savages I found that the kite advertised here is supposed to be AMAZING and I have seen people getting bladelike hangtime with this kite. I am taking a bit of a risk getting the new one as there is no reviews on it anywhere as of yet - at least I couldn't find any - and am paying $100 more - let's see if it's worth it. However I can highly recommend the Savage 1! Good luck selling it, I think the only reason why it's still here is cause the brand isn't established as of yet, BUT will be soon!
