Hi guys

Just wondering if you could point me in the right direction on some buggy parts

where is the best place to get replacement bolts and bearings for a pl mk1 big foot buggy

I require a 12mm front axle and both 15mm rear bolts

also where is best to get bearings for front and rear ie best quality at a fair price

the front is stainless but was bent like a banana, so I took the bend out, and am re using it but would like to get my hands on a better replacement part

One of the rear bolts is bent and both are rusted so i am also wanting to replace them with either stronger stainless or high tensile.

my only concern with the high tensile is could they snap on the run?

all help greatly appreciated.

cheers Joel

PM'ed you smome info.

The bolts will only snap if you use them when lose, or you use them once they are bent.

Or you do crazy things on your buggy like me. :D But mine are 12mm not 15mm ,so you should have stronger bolts.

Hi Guys,

I’m in the same position as Joel. I have a PL mk1, with a rear axle that takes 15mm bolts and i'm also in need of some advice to locate replacement bolts.

Regards,

Nicko

Kitepower stocks the bearings but so does you local bearing shop, just do a yellow pages search for bearing suppliers take one with you and you will find you can buy them for well under $10 each

I'm not certain but I think we may have a front axle bolt in stock, I don't think they are anything special though and you should be able to buy them from any nut and bolt supplier.

Higher tensile bolts will not snap easier, they are quite a bit stroner than the stock ones.

The 15mm rear bolts will be harder to source, but should be avilable from a good bolt supplier, otherwise we can order them from Peter Lynn, although check with Kitepower Sydney and Geelong to see if they have a couple in their large range of Buggy spares.

I've never heard of people that dont jump buggies needing to replace the 15mm bolts, whats the problem?

I've made a post to the thread starter though and the same info applies to you.

I'm away from a puter for a couple of days of kiting.
