How's November? I'd assume the beaches would be better before a cyclone... I need to buggy, easter is too far away. (Besides - we could do both...). Just checked - the furtherest I've ever driven in a day to kite is to Angourie and back - that's about a 600km round trip. Yeppoon would only be another 80k. Quote
trippnu Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 november would work as being im hospitality its harder to get a few xtra days off in the busy period how many days would u look at going for Quote
trippnu Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Come to Yeppoon guys plenty of beach to kite on, and the local buggier is pretty friendly. Caravan Park right on the beach if you want to pitch a tent or plenty of units around the place. If the wind doesn't show, which is rare you can always tae a day trip over to Great Keppel Island and get wrecked Fraser Island your more than likely to get run over by a 4WD and the fees and expenses can run up pretty damn fast. is it the beachside caravan park thats the one we should be looking at i dont wana travel to far to buggy lol Quote

icarium Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 A mid Novemeber long weekend sounds good to me, as work is always busy last few weeks leading to christmass. Quote
JKS Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Simon ... don't forget to consider renting a trailer as well ! No good you all turn up without buggies and kites. (8 seater will prolly fill up with 3 of you in it ) Quote
jabroni Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Posted September 17, 2009 I told my boss that I joined a kite cult, and need to make a pilgrimage to buggy mecca in november. He said it'd be ok if I take 2 days off either side of a weekend. I don't mind taking my car up - think it'd do it on $40 fuel. I could probably fit another peter lynn in too. Quote
