Jason Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 After a few years I get a bit bored of standard colours. This NSE is a refreshing change I think- Quote
DaveA Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Ooh, not sure about the brown Jase I reckon Brown is one of those colours that just should never go on a kite, along with "mustard" and "cream" I guess it might look better in real life though, with the sun behind it. Quote
Two Hands Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Jason, I think I see where you're coming from, it's sort of the 'moccachino' colour scheme, a contemporary take on coloured kites. Although I have a 'rainbow' coloured kite I think it might be the reason I don't fly it, just a little to bright for my liking. I think I like this Nirvana, although I'd like to see it in the sky first I think. TH Quote
Cesium Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Took delivery of one of these earlier in the week. Never thought I'd willingly order a kite with brown panels (apart from the XT.s and its tiny brown slots), but it works well to my eye. Certainly something different. Quote
Oooo Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 looks kewl if only the budget was bigger BUGGER Quote
DaveA Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Took delivery of one of these earlier in the week... Any chance of some photos Adrian ? I still reckon its an absolute Barry Crocker, but i'll stand corrected. Quote
steve_hobart Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 mmm maybe this colour for an NSE WW....? As per Dave, I'd be keen to see some photo's first though Adrian.. cheers steve Quote
Cesium Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 The colour scheme is called "Coffee" which is pretty appropriate, I reckon. I'll try for a photo, but I'd say that the promo shot is a pretty good representation of how the kite actually looks. If you don't like it from that shot, you almost certainly wouldn't like it in real life. I guess that's taste and preference though. Actually, I'd be interested to hear what Portley has to say about it because he's an artist with a very good understanding of colour theory. Not to say that theory over-rides personal preference, but it'd be interesting to see whether it conforms to artistic rules or not. Quote

Your one of those city-Albert Park types now and will be forced into having metro type tastes . Now what colour is your Mazzerati? Quote

It's an Aston Martin, and if you must know it's 'Toro Red' or, as we like to call it, Burgundy Now if a fine British purveyor of kites were to go down this path, well I might be tempted to divest some of my portfolio, but the day I own a kite made by "cheese eating surrender monkey's", well it will be a dark day in Hades ... Well OK maybe I do like it, it's just I need a new inner tube for my push bike Quote
