  1. Well I'll be flying a red bullet so keep ur eyes peeled.
  2. 11 am sounds good. Hopefully I'll find the right place!
  3. What time you guys going roundhay on Sun? Rain is forecast for after 1PM. Winds looking around 17-18mph. Also whereabouts do u fly? Is it that big area where they had the bonfire? Paul
  4. I agree its better to 'get a feel' for it rather than rely on a chart but a chart is still feasible. There may be a lot of variables involved, but they won't be any more complicated or extensive than say what a pilot uses for take off and flying, they have just as many variables if not more, and have access to many simplified tables and charts.
  5. Sorry, the snow was for Redcar http://wwwa.accuweather.com/adcbin/public/intlocal_index.asp?location=redcar%2C+uk
  6. Lots of Leeds Uni on here which is cool. I went up to Boddington on Tues but when the wind's strong those trees and rugby posts sure get in your way!!! I'm up for a trip to Redcar if anyones going soon, the weather doesn't look great at the mo though. Forecasts say very windy and snow at least til Mon n Tues. Also got final exams but what the hell!
  7. I think this is actually a lot easier than people are making out. Just need to develop a formula and maybe give it a nice user friendly interface. For instance in a drop down menu a user could select their experience (A) 1: New, 2:Intermediate, 3:Experienced. (B): Input Approx Weight, © Size of Kite/Make Based on this info it could output a more accurate wind range suitable for flying in. I'd be happy to work on it if people can provide the info and experience, then it can be finetuned over time.
