  1. Thanks Bertie. When you demo'd the Omega was it with the bar in pulley mode?
  2. Have been offered a new 12m Omega at a good price - only a bit more than a good condition 12m Switchblade 2. Has anyone used them both, how do they compare (ease of use, low-end and top-end range etc)? Is the Omega almost the same to fly when the bar is used without the pulleys> Thanks
  3. Hi Mark There is some footage of the 8m synergy (looks like a proto) here - some nice kiteloops. If I rejoin the fold then the Synergy could be the one to tempt be back - have to wait for some reviews and try and get a test flight next year.

  5. Like quite a few of us I'm still doing both. I know most of the locals at Boscombe and its all smiles between kite and windsurfers. Defo agree that it takes much longer to become a good windsurfer. If anywhere should have a problem it'd be Poole Harbour - So many newbie kitesurfers and crowds at weekends although I've never seen any aggro over it so just shows that 99% of water users respect each other and are happy to co-exist. (The thing that does worry me is the visiting guys who will happily ride fully maxed yards from the harbour wall with their kite above the road. Not clever !)
  6. If you do upgrade to NTS make sure you get the later version with a metal screw. I had the earlier plastic screw and the head bit that you turn snapped off leaving the main body of the screw inside the thread.
  7. Brunotti Master 152 x 39 twin tip on ebay. In vgc. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140110523902&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=004 Kitesurf Magazine Test Report BRUNOTTI MASTER 152 X 39 The Master is a new line from Brunotti. Its custom built by hand and the finish on the board is second to none. It's aimed at the ambitious light weight beginner or for riders looking to improve their skills. The Master is thinner and narrower than the other boards in the test and is definitely something you won't grow out of in a hurry. The lighter beginners found it easy to use although not as forgiving as some of the larger boards. Where the Brunotti comes into its own though is when you start to put some power into it. The sharp thin rails help it really hold an edge and it flies upwind, the large fins give it heaps of grip too and it certainly had a performance feel about It. The custom construction is very durable. The lightweight straps and pads help to keep the overall weight down yet are still comfy on the feet. If you are only a lightweight and are looking for a board you won't grow out of then this would be a good choice. On the other hand If you are a heavier rider and want something high performance then you can't go very wrong with the Master !
