  1. Sarah and I have both used these kites for the last year or so, after coming from Takoon/North/Naish and Slingshot C shaped freestyle kites and also teaching with a lot of different bow and hybrids. The JN Prima Donna 2 is a damn good kite, and we use ours on a daily basis. Not for the complete novice, you need decent kite skills to fly one, as they handle very responsively. It feels extremely balanced and stable, meaning the handling and bar feedback are very predictable and intuitive. Turning is fast for its power/size. It's up there with the best of the other freestyle kites on the market as far as I am concerned. 9m/11m are my favourite sizes, the usable wind range/sweet spot is very large for a C shape. They have brought my unhooked riding on no end after concentrating on wave riding for a long time. The responsiveness translates extremely well to wave riding as well, and they are perfect for onshore UK wave conditions. Demos are available from Martin at leftfieldkitesports (Lem on here?) and Axel in Cornwall. Whenever we lend them to people they love them, and always comment on the good bar feedback. We have converted a LOT of people from bridled kites. The JN Wild Thing 2 is a serious booster and speed machine, but also works very well unhooked. I use this when it's really windy for wakestyle. The 8m is a little ripper. I think these are retailing pretty cheap at the moment as they have a deal on. The JN Switchcraft bar is amazing for everything from beginners to hardcore wakestyle. Really easily adjustable for arm length, which is often overlooked and leads to terrible toilet seat posture. It has a nifty size change system with turnable bar ends and when you unhook the chicken loop sits square to the bar, with a clever insert system. Sarah got a second in the BKSA course racing on one of these (to Steph Bridge current world champion) The Whiteleys are currently ripping on these kites in the BKSA. I like them because they loop like a mother *****. Also check out iksurfmag.com issue 10 for a review, and I think one of the latest issues of Kiteworld. 2. Now on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190239707356&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=009
  3. JN Easy Rider 7.5m 2007 Limited Edition + 2007 CBS Evo Bar + JN Pump http://picasaweb.google.com/kitesurfinstructor/JNEasyRiderLTD752007Complete This is JN’s moderate aspect ratio wave/freestyle kite from 2007. It’s a high depower C kite, which is extremely fast in the turns and delivers a very constant pull. It performs extremely well unhooked, and is difficult to back- stall. It’s a kite loop machine providing a snappy, powerful loop which will keep freestylers happy. For riding onshore waves, you will struggle to find a faster and more responsive kite. The bar feedback is intuitive and very predictable, unlike some bridled kites. This allows you to fly the kite by feeling, and concentrate on putting your turns in on the wave. The bottom end of the kite is very good for a 7.5m due to the ultra thin struts and floating rib system, which keep a perfectly trimmed, deep canopy profile, with no need for cam battens. This also means if you put the kite through a wave it’s not going to pop the battens through the canopy. It can be flown on 4 or 5 lines. I preferred it on 5 lines, as it aids the re-launch, and stabilises the leading edge a little more. The kite was first launched in 2006 as a follow up to the Prima Donna. It is a very similar kite to the original Prima Donna. They did a small, limited production run in 2007 because of high demand for this specific kite in Europe. This kite is 8 months old. There are a few scuffs on the canopy behind the leading edge, these have been patched as a precaution, but are purely cosmetic and barely noticable. The build on these kites is with no compromises. The wingtips and trailing edge are all reinforced. It’s not a kite built to a price. It has been one of the most fun kites I have owned, and would be perfect for intermediate riders and above as a dedicated wave/freestyle kite. It comes with the JN CBS 3+1 Evo bar system, also from 2007 and the same age as the kite. This is an elegant, ultra clean and functional bar system which is all spliced connections to avoid tangles. It has a nice big chicken loop for unhooking and a chunky, reliable quick release which can be disabled for unhooked/suicide leash riding. The bar comes with a few spares, including new stopper balls and other bits. Included in the sale: 1. JN Easy Rider 7.5m 2007 LTD 2. JN CBS Evo Bar system (5 line - 25m) + spares and leash. 3. JN pump with aluminium shaft (brand new) 4. JN Back pack Viewing and demo available at Bantham! £275

  5. This is JN's high performance 5th line C shape kite. It has been the largest kite in our quiver for the last 8 months and is a light wind beast. It is extremely stable, and powerful and gets going very early. A perfect light wind summer kite for someone who want's a bit of performance. It turns fast, jumps huge and develops a lot of low end, as well as having a large amount of depower and wind range. This kite used to cross over with our 8m without a problem. It performs well unhooked and produces a meaty loop if required. I found it good to learn unhooked moves on without getting too much of a drilling as you would from a faster kite. The handling is very predictable and it very intuitive and also fairly light on the bar. These kites are ridiculously expensive new coming in at £877 retail. This kite was designed as JN's answer to the North Rhino, but maintaining a more C shaped feel to the kite. High lift and high board speed. I like this kite so much, that I have actually held on to one the same as this for another season, as I think there is little to rival it as a light wind freestyle kite. I am selling this one which belonged to my girlfriend as we can't justfy having two. The kite has a canopy repair down the back of one of the struts which has been professionally repaired. This does not effect the way it flies in any way, and it is probably stronger than it was previously. It comes with a 23" Slingshot based bar and line system (27M), which I modified to have a Y at the top system like North. I also added a O-**** handle system on one of the back lines as a secondary safety. It has a cleatable 5th line system with the wave grenade. I used this bar for about 4 months, and it's very clean, strong and functional. MORE PICTURES CAN BE SEEN HERE: http://picasaweb.google.com/kitesurfins ... dThing213m Included in package is: 1. JN Wild Thing 2 13m 2007 2. Slingshot modified 5th line bar 3. JN bag, bit salty 4. BRAND NEW JN pump Any questions just blast me an email. £350

  7. Still for sale - will go on ebay soon if no one here is interested
  8. Still for sale, sorry have been away for the weekend.
  9. Yep it is a massive bargain - Whitstable have them at that price. Nothing beats a fuel unhooked.
  10. a confused father - I have been riding fuels for ages! Poor guy thought he was doing me a favour.
  11. £500 posted - all brand new!
  12. Retailing at about £660 at the moment, my price is way under this! Original RRP was £929 Never been out of the bag.
  13. Brand new, unwanted present. Not even been out of the packet. Excellent unhooked bow/hybrid kite with a massive wind range. Also has the nifty one pump inflation system. Perfect for learning/progressing this summer. Colour is Blue RRP is extortionate. PM me for a price.
  14. Naish Raven 2 10m 2006 - White/Red - kite only - £250 Good condition with 2 pin prick canopy holes covered by clear Cygnus repair patches, so barely noticable. This is the ultimate hang time kite as far as I am concerned, and it has had light use over the 6 month period I have owned it. The build on these kites is excellent and will fly on pretty much any fifth line bar. This kite is seriously fast to turn, and worked well on waves as well as flat water. It has the Octupus one pump system which works a charm. It can take a LOT of wind for a 10m - 35 mph easy for a 77kg rider. This kite gave me the biggest, scariest and most dangly jumps of my life. Kite comes with bag. Slingshot Octane 14m 2006 - Black/Purple/Brown - kite only - £300 This kite is brand spanking new, it has only been out of the bag for the pictures. It was bought on a bit of a whim to replace my other 14m and was never used. Again, this is another hangtime kite, which turns extremely quickly. It has all the modern elements of a high end C kite with cam battens and 5th line trim system which gives it a huge (almost bow like) wind range and depower. They are not meant to be too bad unhooked for such a technical kite either. They are also meant to be a good compliment to the fuels as a larger kite. I wouldn't know as I never actually flew the thing! Kite comes with bag. This baby still retails at £399, so save yourself one hundred english pounds! Pictures will follow when the sun decides to come out! Reason for sale: Going the way of the Hybrid.
  15. Bump Bump Bump!
  16. Absolute minter, off to Kenya so I won't need it. See more info on Kiteboarder forum: http://www.kiteboarder.co.uk/kitesurfing/viewtopic.php?t=15181
  17. I have had the chance to fly xbow/turbodiesel/nova and know people who fly the halo form airush. They all have pretty similar flying characteristics and mostly the bars/depower system and price is the only thing between them. I think the Turbodiesel is best - for a 1 kite quiver consider the 12m. Its one of the cheaper bowkites. The bar is awesome way better than takoon or cabrinhas efforts. Slingshots are always really well built, you get one pump, and the bridle is pretty simple. I have had a good 2 hour session on a demo one from slingshot/s2as and it was amazing. Still not as much lift as my rhinos but just as good upwind. Turbo Weasel all the way.....so far
  18. Walking boots mate - definitely something with ankle support. Hope you have fun with them - they are awesome!

  22. The man speaketh only the truth - Camber is turning into a circus at the weekends. If people take this advice into consideration I think everyone will get along much better, and there is much less chance of a nasty accident and a ban. Take heed.
  23. Teach yourself - be careful - save money - listen to other people at the beach. It wont take long from a landboarding background - 3/4 sessions max. You will be fine. Best of luck.
