Should my storm 10 turn the opp' way to the pull on the bar ??
frigginnutta replied to frigginnutta's topic in Kite Surfing
WoW. I stumbled across this thread randomly. Sorry for my slightly delayed response. Its only been 7 years. Whos the noob now! LoL. I doubt any of the original posters will see this, but for the giggle...... it turned out to be a faulty kite. The kite had recently had a repair done to the right side where the lines attach and it was all off balance screwing the whole balance of the kite up. Was an easy fix and immediately the kite was under control. So plenty of WRONG people were here once upon a time. Any of you guys fancy a kite-off now? Amazed i still was able to login. -

Cheers guys. Norman park is a bit boxed in with rough wind, to many houses n trees on all sides. Im willing to travel a fair bit if its worth it. Tonbridge and beyond. There must be some other commons around (seem to be bigger than parks with less bylaws) between here n Camber. Come on fellas, wheres it at???????? Where's this tonbridge park anyway ? Get many flyers there ? anyone else been there ?

Help ! i want to get some knowledge on decent places to fly in kent. Big open grassy land, bring it on. I live in Bromley and sometimes travel down to Camber or Greatstone but now im sick of traveling all that way to get the day cut short by frigging tides ! Cant remember the last high tide i come across on grass ! Getting into the buggy side of things more lately and the sand isnt neccesary (although fun) now so i want to try out some buggy suiting grass venues. All im used to is Blackheath Common and a couple of other crappy parks locally. Its only 15 minutes away but the wind there is so gusty and choppy and thats if its blowing at all, so can anyone sling some addresses this way of some good venues in Kent (north pref). Surely theres more than Blackheath for me and my buddies who are slowly keeping up with the kiting thing. So........is there.........anywhere for me.........to play ? In the van..... Ozone Razor 3.5m, 5.5m, and 6.8m Flexifoil Bullet 3.5m Flexifoil Blade III 4.0m Flexifoil Super 10 x3 Flexifoil Storm 10m Flexifoil Ga2 Airdeck Libre V-Max buggy (with trimmings:D ) Cabrinha Vari Pro 138 Cabrinha full seat harness

I do have others in the bag you know (foils), lol. Im ready for whatever comes at me ! I take it thats south easterly then. I know Cambers best with a southernly wind and Greatstone a North or easterly ! -

On a serious note to.... thanks guys for the help, i am a frigginnutta, but a safety practicing one and respect your words of wisdom. I will however continue my quest, if theres someone to ask next time i fly, i will ask them, but if theres not the storm will still come out of the bag. Ive been nicely cattapulted a few times, hence the love affair with my safety pads although my ribs are still to be abused. I promise not to kill myself or any others !!! May i add that the best standard of landboarders on the planet all hang of water/inflatable kites, and swear by them, so im not alone in hitting the hard stuff. -

What has been injected has given me an overdose, it seems no-one reads the full thread and keeps asking me the same old questions, i dont mean to be rude to anyone, but some are lazy and ask what umpteen others have already. And i do know my lines, sorry about that. Its hard to say politely to someone-o' shut up for ****s sake ive heard it before-do you not agree, lol. I'll work it out on my own if i have to, well with the help of a pal. Once again, appologies to those i may have offended and BOL-X to those who offended me, lol. Love is in the air...lada dida daa love is in the air lada dida daa...................... -

Im at greatstone this wed' or thurs', anyone who fancys a look at my setup or wants to stop me flying it can see me there, lol. Seems as though theres loads of help all pointing at the wrong thing. I know my lines-simple. Anyone who knows a LEI and wants an excuse to fly this week, let me know. -

Not sure when i'll be flying next, its tough living so far from a beach and as im not flying on the water as yet, the boy (me) doesn't like getting rained on all day long, and this week looks like a right non-tropical week, lol. I hate sloppy foils ! It will probably be a 'night b4' decision, after gospel from the weatherman. -

Ive attached a pic taken by me of my pal holding my 'storm', the lines are pretty clear in the pic from bar to kite and clearly not crossed, and with leading edge lines to center of bar. Take a look and see what you think, does it look right ? -

Maybe the diagrams attached to this one ??No its too big, anyway, kite in air- same as kite in diagram- bar right way up/round- outside lines to rear edge- inside lines to leading edge-- no crossed lines to be seen IN THE AIR. Red-left, black-right-both to rear of kite. As i say, seems as though i need someone in the know to see my kite ! Anyone at greatstone this week whos got time for a kitesurfing newbie. I would like to add that if you saw me with the kite in the air (in the right conditions) from a distance you would not know i had a problem as the kite can be flown through the window and back again and from top to bottom but by needing the wrong commands ! But it does feel very sluggish and a handfull to manouvre (i know-the more wind-the more resonsive) -

Me once more, thanks for the backing guys. Nemo' get back in ya kite powered wheelchair. 1st, i feel sorry for anyone who knows you let alone stands by you, also you say you make no appologies for being blunt, if you read your 1st reply you will find you were slagging me off not being blunt, dummy, then you go on about buggy riders, slagging them, actually dummy, i do not own a buggy, not that i see anything wrong with them or their riders. As for the honest helpers, i already own a manual, which i looked at after my problem 1st occured, after 2 brains checked and compaired, we found that the kite was et up as instructed and also looked as it should in the air with no crossed lines. I have file attached the line set up guide to this post this is what i compaired my setup to if anyones interseted, someone asked for pics of bar end and kite end of my setup but its the same as the inst' diagram-in the air. Looks like im gonna need to be shown, i fly at greatstone, any offers
