  6. hi, i am very new to kiting, i just have a flexifoil pulsar and a super 10. i am thinking of buying a blade 3, either 4m or 4.9m to fly in lighter winds, but would like to see one flying first if possible to give me an idea of the pull they have. i have read a few threads on this site and am unsure as to whether i would be ready for one yet. is there anywhere that people meet to fly their kites in or around the bradford area. i know that people fly up at baildon moor but i am not sure when. any help or advice would be appreciated. thanks alan
  7. hi cat, when you are twisting the kite are you doing it with one continuous pull or getting a few twists, lifting the kite and getting a few more twists, and so on. i tried yesterday and managed to get 37 twists by using the second method but could only manage about 10 at most with one pull. anybody else tried this ???
  8. hi quoth, you have a lot of posts for somebody who's new !!! alan
  9. hi, i have had my super 10 for just over a week now and am having great fun with it. as a beginner to kite flying i was just wondering what i should be aiming for with the super 10. it has managed to drag me forward a couple of steps on a few occasions but i am looking for a little more. is it possible to jump with these kites or do i need something bigger. i weigh around 12stone. as i said, i am really enjoying the super 10 but don't want to get bored with it too soon and would like to know what its limits are so that i am not expecting too much. thanks for any advice alan
  10. Hi, i recently bought a flexifoil pulsar kite and have only flown it five or six times. i took it out tonight and for the second time in less than a fortnight i have broken the spine:confused: . i realise that it doesn't help with me only being a novice at kite flying, but i was just wondering if it is common for the spine to break often on these type of sport kites. thanks alan
  11. thanks for all your replies. we still haven't received the replacement spine from flexifoil but they assure me it will be with me in the next couple of days. the lines we have been supplied with are 25m, are these ok? thanks
  12. Hi, I am very new to kiting and have been looking for a few weeks into buying a kite for me and my 8 year old son to use, hopefully to learn how to do some tricks with. after looking at a few websites i decided to buy a flexifoil pulsar but now realise that this is not the right type of kite for our requirements. for a start it is a bit too quick for my son (he has already broken the spine on it ). after looking around the internet a little more since realising my mistake it seems that the pulsar is not really made for doing tricks. i am now thinking of paying the extra and buying a benson gemini which i believe would fit our requirements. any advice would be greatly appreciated. also, if the pulsar is not made for doing tricks, what exactly is it made for cheers alan
