http://www.surf-wax.co.uk/locations/spain/tarifa.htm this might help. a guy i was with last year went down there last to check the place out. he was just flying on the beach(no board) but he said he got sandblasted because of the high winds. not sure it is the best place for beginers to learn to kitesurf, but having never been there before i'm no expert on the place.(the kitesurfing section might be more helpful) If it is too windy in tarifa then just pop into gibralter and play witht he rock monkeys they always seem to keep me amussed for a coupe of hours. phil.

Going near estepona next week and i'm not gonna bother taking my gear out again. the beaches arn't wide enough or hard enough for any landboarding. They're also too small and busy to safely set up and go k/s(apart from maybe the evening) but if your kitesurfing then tarifa's the place to go to get the wind. have fun
  3. top stuff rich:D :D :D :D
  4. might be worth a look. few other threads about i think. http://www.flexifoil.com/community/forums/showthread.php?t=52633&highlight=washing+kites hope it helps
  5. accidently huh? i believe u! i get a b******ing here if i get caught looking at flexi. because it's not porn.
  6. hopefully more than my knee will be featuring in the next one.
  7. nice one wallis. first time i've heard it with sound cos pc at work don't av it. makes a hugeeeeeeeeeeee difference. like it.
  8. i tightened up my trucks quite a bit which helps.(rotate the elastomers every now and then too.) i also find that in ligter winds it's harder to stop it going upwind and as above you have to get used to putting more pressure on your toes. In stronger wind it works really well and it's far easier to go in a straight line. with a bit of pratice it does get easier. i found it hard at first but i'm starting to get used to the board now.

    Erm...Wow!

all the christmas action got me itching for more. Finally some decent wind about, and it seems br d your making the most of it. In beach wind the 4.9 is great in 20 ish mph wind but if it's really gusty inland it can definately scare the s**t out of you. Y most of the time it's packed away in my bag. Gonna definately start early on sunday if the weather reports stay the way they are at the moment. spent 3 hours solid last monday on the phantom. just couldn't put it down.
  11. I haven't got a clue but if i was you i'd phone wind designs (www.wind-designs.com) i believe they are the uk importer for pl(pretty sure this is who i phoned). i had a query about my PL chicken loop and they were very friendly and helpful and i was sorted out in no time.
  12. Trix can drive! just happened to hit a bit a black ice!
  13. i went straight from a 4.9 blade to phantom 15m and didn't find it too hardcore. certainly no more hardcore than the frenzy 04 you were gonna go for. .
  14. 26. i'm off to kitetalk.net.
