hey matey,
did my BKSA ITC 3 weeks ago
had first aid and RYA power boat level 2 (needed aa a pre requisit as you do a fair bit on rescue and launch and teaching from a boat)
as far as the course went was quite intense with all the thoery but to be honest its all stuff that you already know just you dont know it in the detail needed to teach to someone else.
as far as the riding goes pm me and i'll let you know what you need to do, as long as your not jumping on top of people and can demonstrate you are safe and have a decent ability its not a problem just go out and have fun and be safe during the free riding. as i said pm me and i can let you know more about the course.
cheers
josh
no cross over kit, but youre right it is a monster kite for those days when the wind is about the same as a gnats fart.
as they say with great power comes great resposibility (and huge air!)
great kite for those with big cahonas! but need to be confident and able to use this kite so only experienced flyers need apply to join the Blade 3 10.5m club!
cheers

have needed nee pads on many occasions
you just have to look at the inch long gashes in the hard plastic in my pads to see there a good idea:eek: , it doesn't leave much to the imagination of what could have happened!!!
Pads and a helmet are a must, too many trips to A&E otherwise! and i speak from experience:(
Just wondering if anyone has ever been on one of these plywood kiteboards i've been reading about.
I'm getting fed up with the bad weather so was thinking a little bit of tinkering and woodwork in the garage could spawn a nice performing board. in principle the board looks quite easy to build, the only tasking but beeing the rocker. but the guys who have built these boards haven't really followed up on how they perform
so the question really is am i going to have a board that works well, or a messy garage and some new bit of clutter for room?
cheers guys, was deffinatly going to get some pointers before i set out, think northern freestyle up near amble do some lessons, has anyone tried the G2 13m on water at all, thats the other kite i was considering,
I have been kite ATB for a long time now and have recently moved to an area where i can go kitesurfing but i'm still wondering which kite and board would be the best for me to crossover with. i'm 6ft2 and 14 stone so realy need something quite big to get my rump off the ground! any help would be most appreciated.
also are there any kitelandboarders in newcastle, have only ever met a couple of the guys from around here.
